Colored jeans: yes or no?

I've been wanting to get a pair of colored jeans, probably turquoise or orange. I tried on a pair at Target last night but I am really picky about fit and I didn't like the way the material clung to my knees.

I'm curious about a couple things:

One, do you like colored jeans or think they are a lame fad?

Two, would you be so kind as to rec a place that has great colored jeans?

Two things -

One, I kinda like the look.  It's in right now, and it's fun.

Two - it is a fad.  There is no way that style will hang around for another couple of years.  Hell I'd be surprised if you could wear them again next year.

I'm personally not a fan. I have a feeling you'd see pics of yourself in a couple years and go "Ugh why did I wear those?".

Yes, they are a fad. Get a cheap pair and rock them this summer, I am.

If usually get my skinny jeans a PacSun. They have the best fit. I think they have colored jeans now.

Express.

I like them but don't own a pair.  I'm more of a fan of the Nantucket Red colors vs. anything else too crazy.  I know in a few years they wont be around but I do see a lot of people wearing them around here.

Ditto this, Old Navy has some and they are cheap, which is great if you might not be able to wear them next year :)

I like them, but IDK how much I'm willing to spend on a pair because I don't know how long they will stay in style for.  I haven't had much luck finding any with a good fit.  I didn't like the ones at Target either, and the last time I went to Kohls they didn't have any good colors that I like.  I really like the red or orange ones though.  I've looked at Macy's online and they looked like they had some choices, but I want to try them on before I buy in case they look stupid or don't fit right.

I think it's a fad that looks cute on the younger generation. And you definatly have to have the body to carry them off.

I would not wear them, but I think they would look cute on you. When I see them I think of Kate Middleton's shape.

Now the other day I saw a older women in a yellow pair, she looked like and old bumble bee.

My post just disappeared but basically I was saying how I'm nervous to try Express skinny jeans because they always look so good on the mannequin and not so much on me (I'm pretty short).  I have dress pants from there so I should give it a try. 

ETA:  My post is back I guess?  Or quoted?  Weird.  I also love how I typed mannequin the first time.  No silly, that is a very pretty bird.

I know! Colored jeans are popular here though. They look great on tall or short slim girls.

Ricks, I should try that.  I'm just a tad over 5 feet so I struggle.  AEO has always fit me pretty well.

I grew up in the 90s too, so I've never seen colored jeans. Maybe if I had already seen them my opinion would be different.

I love Express jeans and I know they have colors out right now.  I haven't bought any because I don't have the money to waste on something I won't wear for very long.  If I did, I would buy some in coral though

I like some of them.  I am not a fan of the super bright colors, but I've seen a pair that was a really pale pink and they looked great on the girl.  My legs are too 'athletic' looking to be able to pull off any type of skinny jeans. It makes me look terrible.
