  • Well, I guess Progressive is out. According to their site, they don't offer renter's insurance in Florida or Alaska. WTF.

I have Shelter now but I used to have Geico and they're really great too.

  • Morning all.  I'm headed to a viewing this afternoon.  My girlfriend's mom died last week.  The funeral is on Thursday at 11am, and I just couldn't take it off of work, especially since Wednesday is a Holiday and I fly out Friday morning for the debacle in MSP.  I am excited to see the park though, the pictures online look beautiful.  We let my cousin know we wouldn't be attending the rehersal dinner, but would be coming to hang out after and visit.  Anyone have any recommendations for a good restaurant in the northern part of the twin cities that serves Walleye?  H really wants some while we're there.
  • Bk, I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope your friend is holding up OK.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Morning everyone : I wouldn't assume there is any coverage on it. We had to add a special articles rider to our HO policy to cover my rings.   Our insurance agent told us things like e-ring and wedding bands are not always automatically covered b/c of the cost of them.  Like Shay, we had to provide a copy of the appraisal and the insurance lady took photos of my rings.

I actually just wanted to tell you that those wine glasses look ginormous and the wine in them looks delicious. Were you able to ship home any wine?

This morning has been laughs, I don't know why I get so worked up. I went in early and I was in a small room working on something and stupidfatbitch and her H came in and she started freaking out thinking the office was left unlocked with the lights on and I finally piped up "I'm here!!" But just listening to her made me laugh so hard. There have been some other funny moments too so I'm in a pretty good mood.

  • Yum, Duds. And that's a good amount of wine!

Oh, and Gia=adorable. I can't wait for my pup's "Gotcha" day. Reading your posts yesterday made me really start thinking about what we'll do for him-I think I'm going to try making some ice cream type treat and Zach's going to grill him up a chicken breast with some bacon.

  • Thanks Duds.  I do love her like a child.  I cant wait to give her presents later.  We got her this obnoxious sqeeky stuffed animal thing.  I hate those things but she loves the noise.  I also got her the frozen cups and a few other things.

But first Im going to try to get a picture with her 4th of July stuff.  99% sure she is going to have none of that noise though, lol

The only reason I know her birthday was because she came from a breeder (I didnt buy her, I hate breeders.  She was originally my old roomates dog and I took her).

Try the Frosty Paws.  They sell them at Target with the ice cream, lol.

You say this on the assumption that I KNOW american patriotic songs. I know the tune to yankee doodle dandy, but not thw words, and that's the extent of my knowledge, other than parts of your national anthem.
  • I found a really small Santa hat with a bell on it last year. She would move her head and hear the bell and then look around for where it was coming from. Of course then looking around made it go off again and it was hilarious.

  • I put stuff on Whisky all the time but he just stares at me, so it's no longer amusing.

He was a punk yesterday. I felt like crap and he kept trying to lay on my stomach, which hurt, so I was pushing him off me or setting him on the floor. He got a wild hair up his ass and went to the pantry, dragged out a bag of Doritos, and started biting the bag (he loves crinkly stuff). The he tried eating the package of my jello and tried to escape with it. I took it away so he jumped on the table and started to howl.

Christ, cat. It's nice to see him active for once, but what the hell.

Actually many of our songs are the same as Englands songs.  We just changed the words, lol.  Very original.

  • Also- I started on myfitnesspal yesterday and was really happy that i came in under the calories they set for me.  I also got a HRM watch and new workout sneakers.  Watching the food stuff was easier than I thought and I didnt change too much of my usual habit.  I just have to watch snacks and try for better options.

Which leads me to think that my problem may be lack of exercise and not so much diet.

If you care, a good place to start is to rent the old movie Yankee Doodle Dandy (from 1942) starring James Cagney about George M. Cohan.  He wrote a lot of American patriotic songs during the early part of the 1900's.  For the Americans reading this, he wrote Yankee Doodle Dandy (not the original obviously), Over There, Grand Old Flag, Give My Regards to Broadway.  It's a tradition for our family to watch it every 4th of July.

Here's another one for you:  I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy, Yankee Doodle do or die.  A real live nephew of my Uncle Sam, born on the 4th of July.  I've got a Yankee Doodle sweetheart, she's my Yankee Doodle Joy.  Yankee Doodle came to London just to ride the ponies.  I am that Yankee Doodle boy.
  • Morning.

I might have to steal Nebb's idea today and figure out how to get some shade in my garden.  The poor plants (except the corn) are sick of the heat and need a break.  i wish I had a soaker hose to at least keep the ground cool.  Bah!

My poor kitty is all traumatized.  I wish her birthday wasn't on the 4th of July.  Seems cruel almost.  I picked up a bit of salmon for her birthday treat tomorrow so hopefully that'll make all the exploding fireworks not so bad.

    Happy Birthday Gia!
