I paid for my MOH's dress, but she was the only one. If I had BMs I wouldn't have because dresses are freaking expensive. But, she picked out her dress and I know she's worn it since so at least she could use it again.

I didn't give a crap what shoes she wore. The only reason I remember them is because I was with her when she bought them.

When my cousin was in a wedding last fall in another area her dress, shoes, hair, spray tan, nails and makeup were all required by the bride.

I'm in a wedding coming up and although spray tans are not required, the rest is. The bride went out of her way to make sure everyone was comfortable with the shoe height she had picked, bu the shoes are NOT cute and I will never wear them again. So then after purchasing them, she sent an email that said, I decided your shoes are your gift! Aww, shucks, you shouldn't have. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-undecided.gif" border="0" alt="Undecided" title="Undecided" />

However I love her to pieces and I like my hair and nails done anyways so it's a-ok with me.

Brandi, I like them other than the bow so if I was in a wedding and that's what the bride wanted, I'd buy them (and hope I could lose the bow later).

I think those shoes are cute.  No idea where I'd wear then other than as a BM, though.

Those shoes are on sale for 40 bucks, I don't think that's bad.  Plus I think they're super cute.  Of the BM shoes I've been required to buy I've never worn them since the weddings, lol.  I could probably wear those things again.

    Honestly? No.

I don't even mind the style, but I'm picky about shoes.  I wouldn't want to buy those at all, and if I was required to wear them I'd rather not spend my $$ on them, since I'd be buying/bringing something else to wear after the ceremony.

I bought all my BP shoes, but that's because I'm a shoe whore and cared about them matching.  The actual dress, I didn't give a shiiit about and they all picked whatever one they wanted.

Would it be nice if the bride paid?  Heck yes, but if someone wanted me to buy a specific pair of shoes, I would (within reason) of course.

[QUOTE]Brandi, I like the look of the shoe but I'm pretty set on what brands of shoes that fit me well and are comfortable.  I would do it if I were asked but I'd be grumpy about it.

The bow is removeable, and won't be used in the wedding.  So just the peep toe.  They were 50 when we bought them.

UGH this is not a flameable confession- just a friggin flame.

Just saw on FB that my uncle bought his 16 year old daughter a brand new BMW as her first car. SERIOUSLY?

I think it's stupid to care what shoes someone is wearing. I know there's a lot of competing for 'most laid-back bride' like DJ said. But that really was me. I just didn't care, at all.  I made the three girls pick out their own dresses. They all picked the same one and wanted to match, so they did. But I honestly did not care. And the idea of requiring someone to get their nails or hair done? WTF? I didn't even paint my own nails, and I guarantee NO one noticed.

My confession- I'm not really excited about the baby yet. I think it's just because we're so distracted with all the other stuff going on. But I haven't bought any clothes yet (and don't really want to) or anything like that. I think I'm still more terrified than excited.

Star- keep with your plan. I have a feeling I'd be a lot less terrified if money was less of a concern.

Not necessarily for the wedding.  But as a group thing.  It wouldn't be required, but the girls that I hope will still be around whenever I do get engaged and I have always enjoyed getting our nails done together.  I'd hope that they would want to go and make a day of it.
