Morning

Good morning. I'd like to say I'm glad it's Friday but H has another game this weekend so it will be crazy. He also has a friend coming to town and staying with us so we went and got a futon last night for the spare room.

I had weird dreams that H and I were fighting and woke up annoyed with him. I know it wasn't real so I'm trying to just get over the annoyed feelings.

Re: Morning

  • Morning. H and I had fun at quiz night last night, I just wish it hadn't gone so late (11pm). I'm going to go get my hair done after work today (just a touch-up color), then we're going to a country line-dancing bar/club tonight with a bunch of friends. We just went to that same place a couple weeks ago, and yeah it was fun, but I'm not really in the mood to go back yet. Plus, I usually like to take a little disco-nap if we're going to go out on Friday nights, and it's looking like I won't get one tonight, so I have a feeling I'm going to be yawning the whole time we're there.

My new running shoes arrived yesterday (Saucony Kinvara 3) and they're wonderful. So lightweight. My H is going out of town on Sunday for a week-long training thing, so I'll get going on a run w/one of my work friends then. She's considering running the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon with me in November.

  • Morning.

When my alarm went off this morning I was dreaming that someone had come in from another world and changed it so I would get up too early.  That's what I get for reading before bed.

Short day for me today, then lunch with friends.  I'm ready for this week to be over.

    Morning Ladies...

No excitement here - glad it's Friday! I'm going to visit my daughters tonight, and then I think we are going to Six Flags tomorrow for my oldest's birthday. Can't believe she's going to be 8 already! Where does the time go?

Hope you all have a great day!!
  • Bj happy birthday to your daughter. Six flags sounds fun. I haven't been to a theme park in forever.

    Thanks!

I haven't been to Six Flags since I was like 22 - and that is a LONG time ago!  I think it'll be fun, I'm just hoping the weather will hold out, they are predicting storms tomorrow.
  • Morning ladies!   Not much happening here.  H has a friend coming into town this weekend so I'll be on my own.  Fine by me, they can order their pizza and I'll order my Indian food.

I have a meeting with the guy who doesn't like me today.  Should be real fun *eye*roll*  December can't come fast enough.

  • Morning! I am ready for the weekend and hope to do a whole lot of nothing the next two days. Tonight we're going to a baseball game which should be fun!

I have a random question that doesn't deserve a new thread - for those of you who had your make up professionally done how were you able to touch up your make up later? Did you buy the same products or make do with something similar or what? I was originally going to do my own make up but now they're opening a MAC very close by so I think that might be easier. I don't want to buy a whole lot of new make up though.

Well, I'm at work so there is that. I'm gonna be swamped today though since I missed 3 days of work so, meh. I have to give my manager some news too, and while its excellent for me, in light of me missing so much work I feel wicked awkward about it.
  • Good luck with your meeting Shay.

I came into work fairly early today.  I have my lady doc appointment in 40 minutes so I wanted to get some stuff done, which I did.  My stomach hates me.  Again, probably because of the anticipation!  Other than that, I think today should go fairly smoothly.  We are visitng FSIL for dinner and to pick up some furniture from her on Saturday.  Her kids are so cute so I can't wait to see them.  Also, MOH is coming this weekend so we can go dress shopping for a shower dress.  I don't have any dresses besides 2 and those 2 are more or less "club wear."  I need to start being girly...

  • Morning. Mehg, when are you going to Epcot again? H and I decided on November 5th, a Monday (Shay, you should go then too so we can eat our way through Epcot together).

We are going to the cabin where we got married this weekend. If we don't go tonight, then we'll spend the day and nuight there tomorrow for sure. I love it out there. H can fish, I can sit by the water and read, no one bothers you because it's 50 acres of woods.

Steph, if you're around, I sent you an email about that PDF thing. Turns out I suck at it at work too.
  • Good luck at the doc today lbarr. I was going to ask how it went last week but I didn't want to be nosey. I forgot it was scheduled for a different day.

  • Celtic, I can't really answer your question because my make up artist just didn't show up... but at the MAC here they were going to charge $250 for me and $200 for my bridesmaids.  I don't know if that's how it is everywhere, the ones here are all independent contractors.  I'm not sure if you've looked into the cost yet, but I just wanted to throw that out there.

  • I am starting a FB war with one of H's friends. She said he had poor decision-making skills and was stupid for buying a Chrysler (it's had a few recalls and the dealership still hasn't fixed it properly, so H is getting annoyed). No one gets to call H stupid but me. So I had to school her.

  • Good luck at the doc, lbarr.

Sesh, I'll talk to H about it!  We've been trying to decide what we want to do for our anniversary this year so maybe we'll do that, since our anniversary is October 30th.

  • Oh, them's fighting words, mara. That's how I always felt about my little brother. I'd tease him and give him a hard time, but if anyone else did it I was all over their ass.

Shay, your artist didn't show at all? Who did your makeup the day of?
  • Go mara! That chick sounds like a judgy twatface.

Sesh - we fly in on Nov. 9th, the race is on the 10th, and then we leave on Nov. 14th, so we'll just miss you guys. Cry

  • Thanks Shay and Edie. I definitely wouldn't be willing to pay that much when my salon can do it for under $100. I was searching around to see when the store is actually opening (walked by it going to the movies yesterday) and it turns out they open today! I guess I'll call or stop in this weekend and find out more about it.

Ours is a joint birthday gift (mine is Oct. 12th and his is Nov. 27th so it's in the middle). The tickets were free so we are thinking about staying overnight at one of the hotels.

Celtic- I had the airbrush make-up done and I really didnt need to touch up anything but my lipstick, which she gave me the remainder of hers. If you have one you want to them to use take it with you.
Airbrush is expensive, but it lasted for over 11 hours.

    Morning ladies!
I have not wanted to get up all week. I've been having some really in depth dreams during my snooze. Cant wait to tomorrow, I can sleep in, get some things done around the house, and start my new project. I want the house clean so I dont have to worry about it when we leave town next Friday.

    What's your new project, KD?
  • Holy hell that is a lot of money for makeup.  I think I'm paying around 100 bucks.  I should invest in some sort of light touch up products though.  I never really thought about doing that.  I'll probably end up splurging and going to Sephora even though I'm not really a makeup person.  I just don't see the cheapo brands a CVS that I do get sometimes lasting on a big day like that.

All of this makeup talk is reminding me that I need to start thinking about what I actually want for makeup.  I have a trial in under 2 weeks.

  • Good morning!

Bonefish Grill was so good last night.  We had a great time.

Long day at work today.  At least we're having a potluck for a guy who is retiring.  It should be fun.

We'll probably do some more work on the backyard this weekend since we finally have more of a plan.  I'm so sick of how it looks (except for my garden, which I love).
