When did not liking a president and/or thinking he is a moron become so unpopular?  No one said shiit when it was other presidents getting bashed.  So why all of this crying "NO Fair!!  Leave Obama alone!!"?

There is a large percentage of Americans who dont like him and think he is a moron.  I dont see the problem with that.

Kind of.  But I honestly think he is a moron.  The same way people thought the last guy was a moron.  I just think its ridiculous that people get so offended by it.  Everytime I say "Obama is a moron" I dont feel the need to list why.  I have said why before, I dont need to keep repeating it unless I have something more to add to my existing list.

When the thread first started, it was a bit lighthearted so I just added a little sarcastically "Another reason he is a moron" or whatever I said.  I dont see the problem with it.  Most of you know why I dont like him and you dont need to keep hearing the same reasons over and over.

It just bothers me when people think that just because you dont agree with them, you are somehow less intelligent on the issue.

I think that Americans by and large will look for information that will fit in with what they already believe.  I think Obama could cure cancer and some people would still think he was a horrible moron.  I also think he could kill eighty babies and some people would still think there must be a good reason for him doing it because he does no wrong.

Eh.  I know a LOT of people who strongly dislike him.  None of those people dislike him because of race, religion, or country of origin.  Its not fair that everybody who dislikes him gets thrown into that "Ignorant racist" category.

You may have looked at people freaking out before he was elected and saw racism, etc.  I saw it that people like myself were saying "WTF? How in the world do people think this guy is qualified to be president??".  That was my fear.  I didnt think he had enough experience, and I still hold that belief since, in my eyes, he is burying us.  But I respect the election process to know that he won fair and square.  I dont have to like it though, or like him just because he is president.

I dont really want to argue why he sucks/doesnt suck.  I was more saying that it seems to me that his supporters (some, not all obviously)can be pretty arrogant when it comes to non-supporters, and thats what fires me up.

I don't think you're one of those people Blue.  And I don't automatically think that anyone that disagrees with him is.  But when you ask someone why they don't like Obama, and their answers all revolve around him being a Muslim/non-natural American/big socialist and they don't seem to really have any specifics when you press them (like being able to name some policies they dislike, or laws that he's passed or decisions he's made) I think those people are uninformed jacktards.  Or, everything that they say is coming word for word from Limbaugh or Beck.  THOSE people I have absolutely no respect for and I think are a bigger moron than you probably think Obama is.

I think that a lot of the people screaming "SOCIALIST" at him don't even know what the hell a socialist is.  It's like all the people freaking out about "no goverment health plans should be allowed!" and wanting "government to stay out of our lives" and then in the next breath ranting about how there isn't enough Medicare or Social Security.

I get what you are saying.  I just find around here, and maybe it is because of where I live, you rarely get to explain why you disagree with him, before someone calls you a racist, and if you do get the chance to debate with them, they rarely have a good argument.

Plus, I think that argument of where he lived or what religion he is, is losing steam to the other big issues that are plummeting his approval ratings.

I always ask people why they don't like Obama when they say they don't, and then go from there.  Unless they do something stupid right off the bad, and then I just make (sometimes incorrect) assumptions they don't know what the hell they're talking about.  But I really do try hard to find out their actual views before making any decisions.

To be fair, that goes for Dubya as well.  I HATED hearing people talk (seriously) about how they wanted to see him assassinated or dead.  Inappropriate.

Yes.  Totally agreed.

I also wish people could set aside Rep or Dem and look at what was done/is being done.  Im a pretty strong republican but of course I dont agree with everything my party does.  Just as not all Dems agree 100% with every core value of their party.  I look at the specific policies he has enacted.  I just happen to not agree with most of them, and think his time and effort should be spent on a more important topic.

One of my biggest issues with him from the beginning was that he ran as a moderate.  I always found him to be pretty left leaning and not moderate at all.  I would have been more comfortable with a moderate democrat president.  His far left leanings scare me.
