Apparently the laws have changed since you were 12.

Illinois - a juvenile is anyone under the age of 17.  Anyone 13 years old and above can be tried as an adult if he or she has a record of previously breaking the law or commits a serious crime.  Minors who are 15 or 16 years old are automatically tried as adults for certain offenses, including murder, aggravated criminal sexual assault, and armed robbery with a firearm.

It's straight from the Missouri Bar's page, and several other sites for the state of Missouri.  Word for word.    And that's the ONLY state that came up.

Well of course I can't possibly have any idea where you got it from, I just find it interesting that when I C&Ped everything, including the quotation marks, it found it, word for word, on a bunch of Missouri sites.  Especially when I found IL info to the contrary.
