Yes, in New Jersey, but not near me. I live out in the middle of nowhere.

I grew up in MI, so it was pop to me. I was 5 when we first took a vacation to NC. We wound up in this down home country dinner. I told the waitress I wanted an orange pop. The waitress goes, "So you want a coke?" This went back and forth for like 5 minutes until I started crying and my parents intervened. They had just been sitting their laughing. It was my childhood version of Who's On First.

I have never, ever heard someone say sliding board. Ever.

I will henceforth be calling all popsicles frozen confections.

Blue I will have to disagree.

But you still like me right? RIGHT?!

I'm very late... but I felt the need to chime in on the appropriate terms for certain items.

It is, and will always be, a sliding board.
It is definitely soda. Pop is what you do to a cherry or gum. Coke is in a red can or goes up your nose.
Hoagies.

Shooz.

:)

Pay attention, assholes. Kiss I'm only going to say this once:

Piece
Pop
Slide
Sledding
Casserole
Water foutain (fer the drinking)
Fountain (for the pennies)
SUB

The Midwest is always right. And we don't have a goddamn accent here either. Fly over country rules! ::streaks out of thread::

To me, yes. Like I said, OBX, I like you, but I get uncomfortable when you are going on and on about how amazing so and so is. Sure, that may be you IRL and that's fine. But I will tell you that if I knew you in real life, I would still think it was weird. That's just my opinion and there's nothing wrong with that.

I say let's compromise and call it duck, duck, grey goose and make it a sweet drinking game.

I can get on board with that. Drinking games are fun, regardless of geographical location.

In what way? Normally I'm the queen of finding inappropriateness but I'm not following you here. HOWEVER, I don't think it being inappropriate is a bad thing, either ;)

And, Koda, you're right, I do believe it would not take long at all to turn into duck, duck, puke. But at least you wouldn't be alone?

haha. All I picture is a bunch of college kids running circles, drunk, trying to 'tag' each other in inappropriate places... and then puking.
(not directed at anyone in particular) i dont see why it matters how often someone posts when they have an opinion, while someone might not post regularly we have no idea how much they know about us from lurking. it doesnt invalidate their opinion.
Posted by Nebb
Okay, I am totally saving this for the next time someone accuses me of posting only to back someone up because I don't post here that much anymore. Such as:
Beats, you rarely post though, and when you do it always seems to be when youre backing someone up.
Posted by Nebb
I'll repost what I said earlier about this, because it's the same thing you're saying now, Nebb: I don't see why my frequency of posting should make my opinions seem any less my own, you know?

Anyway, hopefully now we can agree to agree. ;)

Oh, and we have bubblers (bubblas?) out here too, and pockabooks instead of purses. I can't call them that though, I'm from Colorado dammit.
