i lived near a quaker oatmeal factory once, sometimes it smelled like maple outside and oddly sometimes like popcorn. i didnt mind that.

i could do without snelling all dressed chips or rotton flesh hah

There's a Nabisco factory near J's office, it just smells like cookies sometimes, like everywhere outside, it's enough to make you want to rob a bakery.

I'm a little late to the game, but my Dad works for Heinz, and, well, the city of Pgh loves its ketchup.  I went to school in MI, so I ordered them online.  Now it looks like you can order them and pick them up at K-mart - if you have one close by: <a href="http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_10104_033W017155110001P">http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_10104_033W017155110001P</a>.

And I have a bunch of Canadian friends, and I totally think that M and Ms are better than Smarties, but there is a candy store close by that has Canadian Smarties, which I know does you no good, since you're not where I live, but they DO have them in the states.  You might just have to search a bit.

And by once, I mean like 5 months ago. I don't know about the ketchup chips though.

I'm late, but I'll flame anyone who uses "totes" and "cray cray" in a post.  In my head it reads somewhere between baby-talk and Elle Woods. 

On the smelly topic, I was in Emporia Kansas once and there is an intersection in town where the smell from the slaughter house collided with the smell from the Dolly Madison plant.  I have never smelled anything so horrible in my life.

I am late to this and we might be past this, but while I get that this place has been full of people with 'emotional needs', and I am one of them. I have tried to post less because of it since I know some people can't deal with the neediness of posting online about one's issues, and I get why this board may not seem like the right place for it but at the same time, sometimes, it's nice to hash something out or vent about something with people who tend to see things more objectively because they aren't directly involved. Not sure if that makes any sense...I definitely don't want to come off as needy, I'm not, I am just in a rough patch. It happens, I will get over it.

I think I had other stuff to say but I forget it now. Crap, I suck at this!

In college I lived near a Simplot plant.  It's where they make french fries.  That place reeks like ass.

Another place that reeks like ass is the sugar beet place, I drive by it on the interstate when I go home to visit the fam.  One of my girlfriends describes the odor as "grandma farts."  How she came to this conclusion is beyond me, but at any rate - it is rancid.

Ahh, I used to love driving by there, it smells so good!

There's a cocoa factory on the outskirts of town here. It's the weirdest smell ever. Not good at all. I can't even describe it. I want to say it's mulch-y, but that's not exactly right.

I cursed out a seemingly 500 year old man from Georgia at a gas station (in NJ) who <em>almost</em> backed into my car. I called him all sorts of colorful names. J and my dad were in the car with me, I think my dad was a bit ashamed to hear his youngest daughter speak like the most vile sailor/truck driver ever.

The man's response "Did I hit your car? Well alright then." Said in a sweet southern accent. I got annoyed b/c it took him 2 minutes to get it out of his mouth. I'm ball or rage and nerves, living in NJ is AWESOME, don't leave us! lol

Okay I hope the emotional stuff wasn't pointed towards me b/c I NEVER post about the bad stuff that is going on in my life. I am a pretty private person and I was not very happy when part of what is wrong with me was posted on FB for everyone to see,  although I really appreciate the nice thoughts and gestures!

TY Missy. Steph pissed me off at first with her comment but maybe she thought it was weird especially coming from me b/c I don't ever ask for prayers, vibes, advice, or whatever. So I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. I should have checked FB first but my head was not clear and  I was at the edge yesterday and I needed a friend who was also a counselor to kind of talk me down and tell me I am feeling normal. That being said, I won't be talking about it on TK, which I told JK yesterday. I do not want to be ridiculed for being depressed.

And TY- JK, KD, Missy, and everyone else who was so thoughtful yesterday. I feel  a little better today.
