More random musings than a grievance, but the sharing-of-info for Christmas kind of hangs me up a little.  I could see it getting ugly and becoming a knottie legend that gets mistold in 5 years when we are all divorced or proven to be trolls and honeymoon registries become socially acceptable (wait).  It doesn't really affect me since I'm not participating, but it kind of seems like just about anyone can join in and get access to everyone's address?  Most of us have a few people we talk to away from SB on facebook or IRL or whatever, and I exchange cards/baby announcements/etc with some of them, but it's in a controlled environment where my address isn't being given out all willy-nilly.
    Posted by marriedfilingjointly
We're going over everyone in the card list to make sure everyone's okay with the people on it. For SS the only person who can see your address is the person who got you. So it's not as bad as it sounds.
  • That's good.  We don't need another Elfstergate.

Hey, does anyone know how to delete "friends" from Elfster?  I was on an exchange 2 years ago and those people still show up in my feed and I'm not friends with any of them.

Yeah, rabbits kind of get a pass for poor grammar.

That's my only general grievance with the world. Mind you I OFTEN do not proof read/spell check my posts and they are OFTEN full of typos, but if you're going to come down on someone for their poor punctuation and spelling, please don't refer to it as their poor "grammer", it makes you look silly.

  • I have to flame Cupcake for the CCDaisy thread again.  Your explanation was that you wanted to get to know her in order to add her to your Christmas card exchange, but those questions really wouldn't have given you any deeper knowledge of her.  If you don't know her well enough before that post you won't after, either.  Those questions don't exactly give you deep insight as to who she is.
