Does anyone have experience with these venues?

Hello everyone! I'm starting very late on the planning of the wedding.. but better late than never!

I'm considering these venues, but i haven't seen any reviews or mentions of them... I would love your reviews of them! Were they nice to work with? Delivered everything they promised? Problems experienced?

- NYLO in Las Colinas
- 2616 Commerce in Deep Ellum
- The Apartment
- Three Three Three
- ALOFT downtown
- Royal Affairs

Have you tried googling them? What about looking at their websites? First a few questions:

-Whats your budget?
-Where are you located?(Some vendors dont like to travel far distances)
-Have you tried vendors that do double duty?

I planned my company Christmas party at NYLO Las Colinas. They were not easy to work with in terms of menu selection, specific needs for the night etc... The party was last night and it was a hit - again, minus how bad it was working with them to get everything planned.

Not sure if their minimum is the same for weddings as it is for corporate parties but we had a $20k minimum (gratuity & tax aren't included in the $20).

I only have experience with Off the Grid & 2616. Off the Grid was the first place we ever looked at. First off, Bruce Galinet never showed up for our appointment, and I never heard from him. Luckily there was some casting call thing going on so we let ourselves in. The inside of the building is really cool, but was too small for what we need. The outside of the building was pretty rough. Broken windows, brown grass, broken trampoline in the backyard. It was pretty cheap though compared to other places we've researched (I want to say around 3000 is what we were quoted for ceremony & reception).

2616 Commerce was awesome! The guy we met with (Oliver Mayr) was extremely nice and willing to answer any questions we had. The space was beautiful, but ended up being out of our price range (I think 5-6000 is what we were quoted for ceremony & reception, and they charge extra for outside catering). The view from the 2nd floor patio is breathtaking! And its right at the front of Deep Ellum so it's not in the grosser area. haha. You might want to check with them again though, because when we visited (in October) Oliver explained that he just took over the club a few months ago, and was working on changing some things. So it could be different. Good luck!!

Aloft Downtown was very unresponsive when I tried to get room blocks for my wedding guests. They wouldn't answer the phones when I tried to call and set up a meeting to see the rooms, then when we got there they just gave us keys to rooms and we had to walk around by ourselves, no one would help us. I finally was able to talk to someone after waiting awhile and he talked to us for 5 minutes and then said he would email me details and never did. I have called & emailed multiple times and even talked to a supervisor and kept getting told that they would send me information that day. I still have not gotten any information over 6 months later.

I would not want to use them for my actual wedding.
