Affordable cake bakeries?

I'm looking for affordable cake bakeries in DFW! I have an appointment set up in about a month, but I'd like to make a couple more between now and then.

Does anyone have any suggestions??

There are a ton of great cake vendors in Dallas.  The thread the PP listed has most of the popular ones most girls on this board have used or are using.  Any one of them would be great.

Tabitha Ballard Cakes by Design. She works out of her home and charges $1.50/slice for buttercream icing. We were happy with our cake, though we chose a very simple design. The actual cake was beyond delicious and we got to choose a different flavor for every tier.

That is who I am using. She is really cheap but I have heard good things about her. She does deliver in DFW area.
