I don't have all of these figured out but I just came across a unique idea that I might use and just had to share!
Something Blue: Have your bridesmaids write a note to you in blue on the bottom of your wedding shoes! I found a picture on pinterest and thought it was so cute! :)

• These are still a work in progress but here goes.

Something Old: There are several options - my veil (was my Mom's) and my family ring (a combination of my Mom's family ring and my Grandma's birthstone ring both of which I inherited & made into one ring) are two options but it will likely be the double strand of pearls. They were originally three single strand necklaces (one I inherited from my Dad's Mom and the other two I received from my Mom's mom who revealed they were her mother's and her mother in law's respectively. I had a local jeweler combine the three strands into one double strand necklace with the two strands from my Mom's side becoming one longer strand. It actually looks like it belongs in the 1920's with the way they designed it.

Something New: Well, my dress is the obvious choice here but my ring also works and my Pandora bracelet fits the bill too.

Something Borrowed: This is where I'm coming up empty. Of course, if someone offers something I'll gladly accept it but I have a purse to use and I have all my jewelry picked out so I'm really not sure what it will be.

Something Blue: I have a blue garter but since our colours are royal blue and silver there will be blue in my bouquet as well.
• Old- a button from my mom's dress, that I have always loved. New- my pearls, from my fiance. Borrowed-tbd, but I think I want to borrow a pin, or jewelry from my grandmother. Hopefully something my grandfather gave to her. Blue- the ribbon on my bouquet.
• Something old: I have nothing yet!! Something new: my dress and my shoes :)) Something borrowed: diamond earrings from my MOH Something blue: was going to do shoes but couldn't find the shade I like in the style I like, might do blue underwear! Haha
• My something old - My grandmother's favorite brooch (she just passed!) - I'm putting it on my flower covering thingy (what is that called btw?)

My something new - My bridal jewelry and dress

My something borrowed - don't have anything yet, hoping someone offers...

My something blue - My grandmother's brooch again

And a sixpence!!!!! :)

New: Everything

Borrowed: Unknown (again, any suggestions welcome!)

Blue: My aunt is embroidering our wedding date onto the slip of my dress (found that idea either here or Google); plus my garter is being made in Air Force camo with an Air Force logo for my HTB)
• Old: I'm using my grandmother's bracelet and my FH grandmother's veil
New: My dress
Borrowed: I'm borrowing my friend's shoes
Blue: I'm painting my nails bright blue
• Old: a vintage lace handkerchief I'll hold along with my flowers. And maybe have to use!
New: Dress.
Borrowed: My mom is trying to keep it a secret but I know she's giving me her garter. Just for me and my groom, though... nobody else will see it!
Blue: a tiny aquamarine earring for my cartilage piercing or maybe second holes (proud of that one!)
• lets see:

Something old: a locket my grandparents gave me when I was 12, I have a picture of both of them in it, going to have it incorporated into my bouquet, and I also have my grandparents wedding cake topper from their wedding I plan to have polished/restored
Something new: Dress, veil, shoes,
Something borrowed: Going to ask my Aunt if I can borrow my granmas peals that my papa gave her on their wedding day, my youngest cousin also wore them in her wedding, and the champagne colors match the pearl detail on my dress
Something Blue: hmm... possibly a blue sapphire vintage ring, light baby blue undies, or a pin/broche. my colors are red and black so i dont want to much to clash

Im open for suggestions on something blue also, just not shoes or garters thats to typical for me

i'm using my something old as my something borrowed maybe you could do tht

• For my something old, I'm using bits of lace from my mother's and maternal grandmother's wedding gowns as part of my bouquet. I might incorporate an old pendant FH gave me our first christmas together and something drom my FMIL and g-grandmother, but I haven't decided yet.

My something new is the earrings and necklace my mother bought me to match my dress and veil.

My something borrowed will probably be an anklet my mother had custom made for her by a friend.

If I don't use blue in my garter, I'll probably use a blue flower or ribbon in my bouquet.

• Don't forget the last line -
and a six pence in her shoe...it's supposed to bring financial luck into the marriage and who doesn't need that these days?

if you haven't had one passed down to you...a great way to make it extra special is to have the six pence be from a year special to you (grandparents marriage year, birth year, etc.)

Old ~ Not sure yet
New ~ My dress, shoes
Borrowed ~ Not sure yet
Blue ~ The sapphire ring that DF got me for my birthday, and a line of blue seashell glitter acrillic in my nails.
• Something old - possibly a piece of my mothers wedding dress pinned inside mine
Something new - my dress, shoes, accessories
Something borrowed - not totally sure
Something blue - either the date of the wedding embroidered on the inside of my dres or these cool diamante stickers i saw in blue for the soles of your shoe that say "i do" - very cute!!
• here is what my plan is:
Something old--great grandmother's pearls (and lavendar parfume)
Something new--just about everything
Something borrowed--fiances late mothers earrings (they are benig given to me after the wedding, but I am wearing them for the wedding, so they are borrowed until vows are exchanged)
Something blue--"bride" handkerchief (brideis in blue)
• Something Old- my mother's veil. We might also try to use some of the extra tulle to wrap around my flowers.

Something New- my dress!

Something Borrowed- my older sister's pearls.

Something Blue- still undecided- will probably be a garter or shoes.
• old: I'm thinking of having something of my grandfather's with me, though I'm not sure what yet. He just recently passed away and he was the member of my family that I was closest to.
new: my dress and probably most other things
borrowed: this one I'm not sure yet
blue: I'm leaning towards a garter I found that has a blue sequin heart on it

• Old: probably one of my antique Whiting and Davis bags
New: most definitely the dress or a necklace
Borrowed: pearl earrings that my grandmother, mother, and both of my sisters wore for their weddings.
Blue: a nice bright blue or deep navy blue heels!
Sixpence: not sure... maybe my grandmother has old Chinese coins.
Red: being Chinese, I have to have something red on... will think of it later...
• Old: My maternal Grandmother passed away in April 1995, and Mother will loan me Grandmother's pearls. The strand is long enough I will be able to wrap it for a beautiful double strand.

New: My dress, my shoes - and I ordered a tiny pearl nose stud.

Borrowed: A friend of mine may loan me a hairpiece, or pearl earrings - or the above pearls will suffice.

Blue: My garter is being hand made by a friend, beautfully crocheted with a pale blue ribbon. I rather like the idea of a pretty blue lacey undergarment ... I may do that. This is a great thread of ideas!
~~Mendi~~ ...Everyone has their price; mine's chocolate Photobucket
• Something Old: FMIL's veil from her wedding, and my great grandmother's handkerchief wrapped around my bouquet.

Something New: My dress, shoes, undies, etc :)

Something Borrowed: My jewelry, rhinestones & pearls from FMIL

Something Blue: My shoes! So gorgeous! Also, going to have blue intertwined w/the handkerchief on the veil...and probably on my nails too....our wedding colors are orange and royal blue so that's going to be everywhere...

***Another question, may have already been addressed, but I haven't read through everyone's posts yet...

Sixpence in your shoe? Who's doing this? What's a sixpence exactly? LOL

[QUOTE]It's a coin. Most people I know who choose to do this these days just do a penny, since it's comparable. I used an Irish fivepence though.

LOL I think this is more of what I meant to ask :)

Thanks!
