  • I got lucky and only have to get two things

New - pretty much everything I'm wearing that day
old, borrowed, blue - my mom is loaning me a handkerchief that she crochted (sp?) a lace border on using blue thread. She did it about 20 years ago.
  • Something old: My reception dress; a cream lace halter for partying with my friends.
Something new: my beautiful new dress <3
Something borrowed: my mom's cascading pearl necklace
Something blue: A boston red sox garter my fiance won't know about until he pulls it off!
  • Something new: wedding jewelry

Something old: a bracelet my daughter gave me when she was little (she's know 18)

    Something borrowed: not sure yet

Something blue: my wedding date stitched in blue thread to the hem of my wedding dress
  • Something Old:   my mom made her wedding dress and used the extra fabric to make my baptism dress, I'm using that to wrap around the handle of my bouquet

    Something New: dress, shoes

Something Borrowed: possibly the diamand solitaire necklace my grandma wore at her wedding and passed to my mom who wore it at her wedding

Something Blue: University of Michigan garter...  the FI's favorite football team, but he won't find out until the reception
  • Old: My grandmother's shoes from her wedding in 1946- had them touched up, they looked like new!

New: Dress, Hairpiece my brother got for me for Christmas

Borrowed: My other grandmother's hydrangeas from her garden in my bouquet (also blue!)

    Blue: Garter and flowers

  • Something old: My engagement ring (was made in the 40s)

    Something new: My wedding dress

Something borrowed: This is TBD... my mother has a pair of diamond earrings that her mother left for her. I am thinking of borrowing those.

    Something blue: Shoes and acccessories!
  • My daughter will be wearing a new dress and shoes, a borrowed veil, ribbon from my great aunt's wedding dress (1920's) on her bouquet, my grandmother's cameo--also 1920's, a small gold charm with a blue stone that her sister (maid of honor) bought for her in the gold souk in Dubai to pin under her skirt, and a sixpence I bought on Ebay that will be 100 years old the year (2013) of the wedding in her shoe.
  • Old and borrowed- Great-great Aunt's broach on my bouquet, great Grandma's bracelet, Grandma's earrings
    New - Dress, veil, headpiece
Blue - Shoes! Also there is blue in my hairpiece

    Something New: Ceremony Dress

Something Borrowed: Reception Dress (from my sister-in-law)/maybe jewelry

Something Blue: Vietnamese "cloak" to go over reception dress, adding blue ribbon to bouquet.
  • Something Old: I will have pieces of each grandmother and mother's wedding dresses wrapped around my bouquet.  I'll also have a handkerchief my great grandmother tatted incorporated somehow.

Something New: I'm buying a lace shrug to wear with my dress.

Something Borrowed: My mom's jewelry- I get to wear the real diamonds!

Something blue: I'm going to have "I Do" written in blue in my manicure on my left ring finger.

Sixpence: My dad collects two cent pieces, so I'm thinking of gluing one to the bottom of my shoe.
