If I deactivate my accound, will my old posts be deleted? I just realized that if you search for my name on google, all of the threads pop up on there. NOT COOL!!! What can I do? I am assuming I should just change my screen name and deactive this one. Please let me know!

ETA: With the recent issues with ex, I cannot have these threads popping up on a google search. Also, if I deactivate this,what happens to my website? UGHHHH......

It totally sucks!! I guess if you search for "Chelsea Kopperud" with a space they dont come up so maybe its ok.... ugh....

I'm sorry you have to deal with your ex being crazy. 

From what I've seen old posts will still be around and I imagine your site should still be accessable.  However, you can in your account settings make your posts private so they are only on the boards.  If you want the site to stay there may be a way to transfer it over.  Let me know if you want to keep the site and I can look into that more before you deactivate the account.

Chelsea, if you go to the community page (top right tab on theknot page), then click on My Profile (it will be on the top right of the page, under "my stuff"), then you will see a settings button on the top right (listed with "my bio", "my stuff", "my photos", "my settings") click on MySettings and you can change your preferences from there.

Thanks Alli for getting the info for her. 

Oh yeah, the only way I've seen to actually remove posts is if your banned or you go through and physically delete them all yourself (but threads by you that have been commented on would have to be deleted by me).
