Save The Dates

Hey Girls! <3
I am going to be working on our Save The Dates very soon, and I wanted ya'lls opinions - we want to put a Bible verse on them, because, lets face it, we need to give credit where credit is due!

The one's I've come up with are:
Psalm 37:4 - Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.
Song of Songs 3:4 - I have found the one whom my heart and soul loves.
Psalm 126:3 - The Lord has done great things for us and we are filled with joy.

I love 3 of these verses and I am having a hard time picking (I would probably pick one of the Psalms before the verse from Song of Songs). The only catch is, a couple of friends of mine have used these verses, and I don't want them to be offended if I use them. It doesn't matter to me, but I just don't want offend them.

Do you guys have any other verses in mind along these same lines? I need it to be short enough to fit on a card, and like I said, along these lines of giving thanks to God for joining us in love.

Thanks, girls!

I actually like Song of Songs the most, followed by Ps 126:3.  We used 1 Cor 13:5-8 (original...I know) on ours.

I like the Song of Solomon verse -- but actually I had another one in mind that we may end up using:

I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine; he grazes among the lilies.
    Song of Solomon 6:3

ETA: sorry about the weird font, couldn't get it to change.  This translation is the English Standard Version.

I like the third one you thought of. It is tough though if your friends used it. Your call, but I bet they wouldn't mind. Maybe ask them what they think?

    I'm a 1 Corinthians fan myself.

    I love Ps. 34: 3

    Oh,magnify the LORD with me,
and let us exalt his name together!

But from those three I like the song of songs one. =)

the Psalm one is my favorite!
When you love someone, you can tell. When you're in love with someone, everyone else can tell.

I really like the Song of Songs one you posted. It just seems to *fit* with the STD idea.

I wouldn't worry about using them if your friends have. It's the Bible - it's used a lot to quote from.

I wouldn't worry about whether your friends have used them...its not like they have "copyrights" to quotes of the Bible!     You only get married once.

We used James 1:17 for our STDs.  "Every good and perfect gift is from above..."

    Oh heyyyy Anna - :D

    Thanks girls!
Yeah, I mean, I don't think its THAT big of a deal that my friends have used these verses, I just want to be respectful. My fiance and I have come up with some really great ideas for our wedding, and some of them, I would be honored and I would consider it flattering of someone wanted to use the idea during her day, other ideas, I might get a little bit frustrated, merely because I worked hard to come up with it. I know, its silly. I just want to be respectful of their ideas and plans, that's all.

I really do like the verses from Psalms that I mentioned, but I also like the others you guys mentioned and the James 1:17, and Psalm 34:3. I think I'm going to try to incorporate all of these into the wedding somehow, even if not into the STD's.

    Thanks girls!

Hope your planning is all going great!
