Father Daughter Songs

I know this must have been posted so many times but I have to ask anyway. What song did you dance with your dad to? My dad and I's song has always been "Isn't she Lovely" but I feel like it may be too fast? I also like "She's got a Way" by Billy Joel but FI and I are dancing to a Billy Joel song so I didn't know it that would be overkill. I don't want something too sappy or too obvious like the "top 10 songs for a fahter and daughter" listed when you google. Any suggestions??? Thanks so much!

My dad chose "Love and Happiness" by Emmylou Harris and Mark Knopfler.  Wasn't a traditional song, but it was perfect.  I love listening to it now.

My dad: My Little Girl by Tim McGrawMy stepdad: The Way You Look Tonight by Frank SinatraMy stepdad and I took dance lessons to learn some basic steps of the fox trot because the song was faster.  It wasn't a choreographed dance but at least we kind of looked like we knew what we were doing.

I'm dancing with 'She's got a way' with my FI and him and his mom are dancing to Just the way you are both Billy Joel.  I don't think it's overdoing it.  They both love Billy Joel and it makes them happy.  I don't know what I'm dancing to with my dad yet but if you really like Billy Joel, go for it.

my dad (a HUGE michael jackson fan) wants to do 'I'll be there' by Jackson5, although I don't think its a very good song to actually dance to.  His other suggestion was 'Unforgettable' duet with Nat King Cole and his daughter Natalie King Cole

My grandfather and I are dancing to Glenn millers "Moonlight Serenade"- We're both huge Glenn Miller fans and this song makes him cry the minute it starts playing! There's no words, but it's a very meaningful song for him. It's actually one of the moments I'm looking forward to most on my wedding day.

One of my friends danced with her father to "Isn't She Lovely" and it was great, they really had a blast. It was enjoyable to watch and I remember the song 4 years later, I can't say that about many father/ daughter songs. I say go for it! Also I don't think 2 Billy Joel songs will be overkill.

I don't have a suggestion, as this wasn't something I had to deal with. however, my cousin and uncle danced to "Isn't She Lovely" as it was "their song" tooo. Its really not too fast. You just pick up the speed a lil' bit and it'll be fine. Its a fun song and I think you should use it.

we danced to "my girl" by the temptations.  i didnt tell my dad which one we were dancing to, and he loves that song.  we did a little bit of a faster dance like a little swingdance on the dancefloor.  good luck!!
