did anybody do a second tasting with their caterer?

our dinner is going to be family style, culture-specific food.  so, our first tasting we just wanted to get a sense of whether or not the food was generally good so we could book the caterer and reserve the date.

as the date gets closer we're getting more ideas about the specific foods we want.  FI wants to do a second tasting to make sure those specific foods will be good.

i'm sure we can just pay for another tasting, but has anybody done that before?    i mean, it's not like we would cancel the caterer, if anything it might impact which foods we choose to serve.  but most things we tried at the tasting were really, really good, so i'm not really worried about it.  FI is pickier than me though.

i can't decide if it's a waste of time or worth the effort. :)
