I am so stuck on what my processional, entrance and recessional songs will be.... would any of the ladies like to share or if you have ideas or suggestions?? This is harder than picking out a dress!!!! lol
I am of absolutely no help. This overwhelms me alot, (sad but true). I was thinking about using some song from the orchestra that does all of the gaming music for the pre-processional and maybe entrance. But that is all I have...
I didn't pick anything I just said please no wedding march or Pachabel's Canon cos I think both are overdone. And I actually really hate them. Anyway, we had a Hawaiian guitarist and I honestly couldn't even tell you what or if he played during all of that time. I didn't even notice. I can try to find video, but I wouldn't have a clue. So maybe I'm not much help other than to say you might not even notice the music.
the little details are what tie me up.. I want a beautiful song just not something thats been over done e.i Etta James, Canon in D... A couple people said the twilight wedding song instrumental was nice..but I am not much of a twilight fan.
Kje you're probably right the only thing I will hear is my heart beating super fast lol. They have steel drum players in St. Thomas but it is a hefty fee!!!! .
i am still playing around with ideas, there is a song from Slumdog Millionaire that I like (they have an instrumental version as well as a version with lyrics and the lyrics are pretty i think..."Dreams on Fire" and "Latika's Theme") the melody is really soft so I'm not sure if I want something more "here i am, i am the bride and i am taking my walk to the man of my dreams" or if i want a "i'm floating and pretty and we are in love, tear" lol!!
Definitely not settling on this, it just popped up onto my ipod and i thought, hey this is a nice song...since FI and I love sister act so much, I wanted a choir to sing one of our favorite songs from the soundtrack ("Oh Happy Day") after we kissed and made our way back up the aisle, but there is also a hefty fee for that lol!
Nicole I feel ya I think I am leaning towards " "i'm floating and pretty and we are in love, tear" lololol your'e at a beautiful loaction you gotta play the part!. I think the Oh Happy Day is a fun idea! But me and my FI arent trying to spend on extras that cost 800+/hr , paying for too many extras will have us living under an overpass when we get back lol jk.
I am still struggling with this a bit. I found a cover of Jason Mraz's I Won't Give Up that I LOVE so I think that's what I'm walking down the aisle to (it got FI emotional too). We are thinking One Republic's Good Day for the recessional.
We used Marry me by train for parents and the guys. I could here it from where I was waiting and I almost started bawling while I was listening. I think its a great bridal song too.
I am hoping to find some instrumental barbadian music, something slow but tropical to go with the overall feel of our wedding. Also thought about using the Jack Johnson song 'Angel' because that is what Jay calls me all the time..
I'm walking in to Vitamin String Quartet "I'm Yours" -it's a cover of Jason Mraz. We have a small wedding and I didn't want it to be so somber. I'm trying to keep the crying factor to a minimum for me. They have some good other stuff too. Check them out on youtube.
We used vitamin string quartet they do covers of all types of music! We did our favourite song (he used to play it for me all the time) it was a perfect circle - 3 libras (rock group) it sounded amazing!!
Check them out on iTunes they seriously cover everything!!
We are having the steel pan which I am totally excited about!!! I am thinking of 'somewhere over the rainbow' for when I walk down. But that is not definite and am still going to look into other options!! Iris hard to choose!
I can't help with all of it, but i know I am walking in to "I'm yours/somewhere over the rainbow" by straight no chaser. Its a beautiful mix of the two songs with a nice Palau feel. If tiff haven't heard it, download it, you'll love it.
We used one song for my bridal party and me. We used Canon in D/Heaven on Tuesday by Heart and Soul. A past bride, Heather, used it and I fell in love with it.
For our recessional we used Telling the world by Taio Cruz. I loved how it had a carribean feel to it.
