Info on churches...Epiphany Church?

Hey all, My fiance and I are getting married a year from now in the Miami area. We're both Catholic, but don't really attend church, so having a church ceremony is not a must, but we still wanna keep that option open. I've been calling different churches, but having a hard time getting someone to call me back. Does anyone know anything about Epiphany Catholic Church in Coral Gables? I can't seem to find any information out on what they require or how much the ceremony fee is. The only thing it states on the website is that when one of their parishioners is ready, they should make an appointment to see them. Does that mean they only do weddings for their parishioners? And how am I supposed to make an appointment if no one will call me back! Oy...

Re: Info on churches...Epiphany Church?

  • Ephiphany Catholic Church is actually in Pinecrest (SW 57 Avenue and 84 Street) and is a gorgeous Church.  I'm not sure of the fees to get married there, but most of the Catholic Churches have a parishioner rate and a non-parishioner rate.

    Good luck!
  • Epiphany is one of the harder churches to get married at not because they are strict but because they are #1 picky and #2 get booked very quickly.  Typically it is about a 1.5 year waiting list.

They also have a hefty fee -- I think close to $5,000 (I know its close to St. Theresa in donation fee)

Try Gesu (MY CHURCH ... I think it kicks Epiphany's butt!) LMBO ... It's in Downtown.
There is also St. Theresa, St. Thomas has a beautiful garden which they do weddings outdoors (very very few churches allow this), St. Jude and St. Hugh are all nice.
