tipping the caterer

Hi All-With my wedding just 2 days away (hooray!), I am trying to get together tips for my vendors.  I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a proper way to tip the caterer?  Gratuity is not included in my contract with them, so I'm not sure if I should tip on the whole bill, or just the cost of the food.  Anybody have insight? TIA!

    Are you talking about your contact with the caterer, or the service staff?  If you are talking about the staff, 15% of the Food & Beverage costs is appropriate.  I would ask the caterer though to really ensure you are tipping appropriately.  Some places pay their service staff differently.  The Catering contact will have the best answer.  If you are talking about your contact with the Caterer, it is all at your discretion.
