Minnesota-Minneapolis and St. Paul

Reputable Pre-Owned/Sample or rented wedding dress shops in MN?

Does anyone know of a reputable wedding dress shop that either sells samples/one time used or even rents wedding dresses in MN?

I am in my 40s and marrying a man who this will be his second marriage, we will be paying for the wedding as neither side's family has extra money and we would't ask if they did.  I want an excellent reception which will take the balk of our money (St. Paul Hotel is beautiful!) so some items need to be scaled back - I have seen wedding dresses I am in love with but all are near $2,000 +.  I just don't want to order a dress that arrives like it was partied in like 5 times!

PS: I love Allure and La Sposa dresses, so if a shop has them that is even more of a bonus!

There is also a great consignment shop in Anoka, called Classy Consignments Bridal. That is where I got my dress, and it was only worn as a sample dress previously. Good luck with your search!

I bought my dress at a sample sale at Glenrose Bridal in Chanhassen.  It was $49!! They dont have the sale going on now, but I know they still had TONS of sample dresses left over.  It wouldnt hurt giving them a call to see what their sample prices are now :)

You could look at Unique Bridal in Blaine. They have a few name brand dresses for less-- I think that many of them used to be samples. I know that there is one in Uptown that sells pre-owned. I can't for the life of me think of the name-- it sounds French I think. Maybe someone else knows?

I got mine at www.preownedweddingdresses.com, and had a great experience.  Its more like Craigslist though, in that each seller is simply posting an ad and you respond directly to them.  Its not in Minnesota (or anywhere, I guess!) but its an option!

I got mine at Brides on France.  The one in Edina does not have pre owned but the one in Richfield does.  (The Richfield store is better anyways. Bigger, you can take pics, and the owner actually was the one who helped me).  I love my dress so much and there would be no way I could afford it new.  I think a great place.  My one regret is that I got my vail and hair piece there.  I got caught up in the moment when they were showing me the final look and I did over pay for that.  MUCH CHEAPER ONLINE FOR DIY for those things.  Just a little advice!

They also have a lady who does alterations, and she is lovely!

PM me if you want more information but its highly reccommended from me!

I forgot to add. Brides on France carries La Sposa's dresses. :)
