Guest List - How Best to Compile

How did you compile your guest list?  I need to start managaing that sort of information and I am not sure how to handle it...

Excel?
Word?
The Knot Manager?

Any tips would be appreciated.  Thanks!

The Knot now has a new guest list manager where you can export the excel template first.  Do that, then enter all of the information into the excel doc, save a copy to your computer, then upload it into the knot.  That way if you make any changes, you can re-upload the document to the Knot but still have access on your desktop for reference :)

I used google documents.  It's like excel, but it's a web page that you can invite others to edit.  So you can send the link to your fiance or your mom.  They can make changes and add addresses right there.  That way there's no forwarding attached documents back and forth.  It's better than excel!

I used excel as well. I made columns for name, address, title, etc.

I used a spreadsheet in Googledocs. I had a column for names, addresss, shower invites, Attending, Not Attending, Table #, Meal Choice, and Gift. I got a little OCD with my lists...But it kept me organized and like a PP said, you can share googledocs with people who are helping put together the list.

I ended up using Wedding Wire to do a seating chart, and it would have been easier if my guest list was already in there in the first place. I used Google Docs so that we could easily share and edit.

Thank you!  With all of the effort involved, I didn't want to regret my choice.
