If you say your BM  is on house arrest, people are invariably going to ask why. And still judge. There was no way in hell that poster could have told that story, even with fewer details, and not get the side eye from the majority of the board. I'd argue that all those details were pretty necessary to the story.

About to really really do this wrong, but I flame Buddy's family. He found out he's being promoted to TSgt yesterday, which is HUGE and we totally had braced ourselves for this not to be his year... again. HUUUUUGE DEAL.

All of his co-workers, past and present, loaded up his facebook with congrats. All of the people who read my blog who don't even KNOW him sent congrats through facebook and twitter. His friends all texted him. My father and siblings texted him. My mom called him and called me and asked what kind of congrats package she could put together.

His family all commented on his facebook too, but no texts, no calls, no nothing. I know it's stupid, but I about lost my mind. You're congratulating him through Facebook? Do you even know what a huge deal this is? Did you even know he tested? Did you know this was his FIFTH TIME testing? And you're going to "like" it on Facebook? Fine, don't call on his birthday or Christmas or anything, but this is likely going to be the most difficult promotion and accomplishment of his career! ARRGHHGGHH they're nice enough people but he deserves so much better than them.

Well no one was flaming you for judging. A lot of people were judging, and rightly so. I just don't think any of it was TMI, was my only point.

If TayPrince isn't real, then I want to piggyback Salt's flame for whoever made it up.  I really can't decide how to word this sensitively because it may or may not be a troll, but if someone made up TayPrince, I feel like they are purposely perpetuating some racial stereotypes.

Every time someone he doesn't know has passed congrats through me, I've passed them along to him with a small interpretive dance to communicate the person's personality to him. So it will feel authentic. And also because I don't get out much.
