It's very....uh....gothic bride ( as PP said)I would use a shorter vase, and better flowers. You can vary the height without using that tall of a vase. And I agree with PP saying to use a black accent such as the stones or ribbon.Lose the baby's breath and greenery

Honestly I'd seriously consider getting real flowers. The silk flowers that don't look fake are going to be the same, if not more, as real. Order them in bulk from sam's club, no joke, they have gorgeous flowers and I've known people that have used them for their bouquets and been very happy. They have a lot of different options but these for delivery are 125 stems for $85: http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5&item=431561 Or also, they have these larger ones that are $153 for 200 stems. Plus, if you call your local store they may be able to give you a better deal, since it says these are delivery. I hear cotsco is cheap also.

Oh wow yeah, those are a bit more expensive per stem - they may be bigger/pink is more rare? Idk. They're really pretty though! Plus that's really only $1 a stem, and honestly the very real looking fake roses can be way more than that.

No I mean the tulips are more expensive, about $2 a stem. I think that's a great price for roses.

That's really odd, in my mind tulips should be less expensive. I'm obviously Waaaaay out of touch with what flowers cost. I'd suck at the price is right.

Whit did you check out that link again from budget weddings? I'm on it now and the tulips are below $1 a stem.

Hm, if I'm doing my math right, 25 bunches (250 stems) for $110 still comes out a little over $2 a stem.

Nope $1 a stem would be $250, $2 a stem would be $500. $110 for 250 stem is $0.44

I'm way late on this thread, but maybe you could use black tea light holders for that pop of black that you wanted?

I would go with not quite so many rose petals as the picture, but otherwise I think it looks great!  You could probably put some black stones or marbles in the bottom, or maybe tie a black ribbon around the flower before you submerge it, or something like that to bring in the black.  Or maybe, as someone suggested, use black votive holders around the base.
