My diet hit the skids last night and I had a ten piece nugget meal at McDonald's.  Supersized.  And now I feel like crap. Also, I really don't like the purse my FMIL bought for me to wear with my dress.  At all.  And it clashes horribly with it.  But I'm still going to wear it, because I know it would make her happy, and I can just leave it hanging on the back of the chair.

Danieliza, it's amazing what a difference ten pounds can make. I've only put on ten since high school, but I feel every single ounce of it. It's partially because I was a dancer for years, and am very conscious of where my center of gravity is. It's partially because I was weight obsessed in high school and had an unhealthy relationship with food. I've since gotten over it.I have no idea whether mrsswift's struggles are like mine were, but why call her out on it?

LVB - that is so cool. I love watching Jeopardy. When my son was two he would talk along with the announcer, but he would change Alex's name a bit. Ben would say: "Alex PeePeebec". We still say that when we watch the show. How can we tell who your friend is?

Still worried about the purse, Nuggs? No one is going to see you carrying it, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. I also want to note that the flaw in my ring isn't noticeable if you're just glancing at it. If you stare, yes, it's noticeable. It's not a black carbon spot or anything, it's got a bit of a crack-like image in it. The jeweler said it was nothing to really worry about.

I hate that I'm forever (or temporarily) immortalized in fishy's sig with a ridiculous surprised look on my face.  I don't knot at night because I'm usually doing anything else.  Like shopping or hanging out with friends or sports or WoW or crashed out on the couch watching Monday night TV.

Dani, 10 pounds in one year is not good.  Actually, it's probably closer to 13 or 14 now.  It's also something I've battled with since i was a teenager.  I lost a ton of weight before my wedding and felt better than ever.  And now, i've just let myself go..so yes, it is very sad for me.

I wasn't really trying to call her out on it I guess.  It just seemed shocking to me that someone would feel so badly about 10 pounds.  I'm not trying to judge though, I guess I just have a different body image.

swift - just my unsolicited advice here, as someone who experienced that this past year. I lost a ton of weight before my wedding, easily, then gained it all back + more afterwards. I was fully aware I was gaining and I felt like crap about it but I just let it happen. Jump on it while you can and dont get it get farther because it might not be as easy this time around so the les syo uhave to lose the better. Its taken me almost 6 months to finally get back where I was at my wedding, and its been a brutal 6 months.

cew...you are right!  My life will always be better than Audrey's!  Gah...hate this feeling.  I must confess that one of the many thoughts running through my head in my all night obsess-o-thon was whether or not yesterday was a sign that I am spending too much time in a chatroom, and if I should spend a couple hours a day doing more productive things.  But I would miss it.  And that made me feel wierd.  And anxious.

Cew Im really excited for him. He is still in college and he was offered a spot on their college version his freshman year. He kept trying out and made the regular version this summer. You can make a lot more money on the regular one. His name is Chris N. He'll most likely be the shortest one on there, looks about 12 and is totally adorable. I hope you watch! I can't wait!

I confess that if I sit long enough and think about my parents divorcing I get a knot in my throat and feel such anxiety I have to immediately think of something else.  Because of this anxiety, I haven't really been able to look at my wedding pictures because my dad's in so many of them.  My wedding wasn't even 2 weeks ago yet.I confess I hate the officiant who conducted the ceremony for screwing it all up and now? I realized today I don't have recessional photos because there wasn't one.  Thanks officiant, really.  I wish I could have a mulligan on the choice to hire him.Jade: re: DH says he doesnt mind... In fact says he has not noticed. Part of me wants him to tell the truth and part of me likes the fact that he is telling me what I want to hear. LVB - I'll be cheering for short Chris! Bec - we discussed it last night in the thread shannon made about her FI hitting a guy on a bike. It reminded us of that movie. We also discussed the fact that I was in love with Rusty even though he was not cute.

It's not that I am pressuring him outright. He notices I am upset and asks what is wrong, I tell him it's about my weight and he answers with "I love you for who you are. No matter what you look like." But I totally get what you are saying, and you are right, it's not fair of me to project it on him.

oooohhhh.... okay. *whew* On the ring topic, I confess I turn mine stone-side down when I'm walking between the train and the office because the beggars make me nervous. Also, it took me a few months to be comfortable wearing it.... I think some people (catty industry biitches and some members of my family) assume that I insisted on it and forced FI to buy it (because I can force him to do stuff *rolls eyes*). The truth is, I really wanted a sapphire or aquamarine because I love blue. I *did not* want a diamond and it was [i]because of the catty wenches who make assumptions[/i] that FI got the diamond. He didn't want people to assume he bought a sapphire because he couldn't afford a diamond. *sigh* I hate people.

I'm addicted to Jeopardy and am madly in love with Ken Jennings (the guy who won almost ever show during an entire season). We named our trivia team after him and we are trying to get him to come to Atlantic City to compete with us in May. No luck so far.

Audrey my sister is a catty wench who pooh-poohs my ring every chance she gets. Sometimes I wish it was bigger just to shut her up, but I know she would just pick on something else anyway.
