That post today made me feel a lot less alone on some things. Yeah me too. So much so that I actually said something to FI about it. THIS.I was telling J all about it when he got home.  That's not abnormal; but I shared what I posted with him. I really liked J&K's follow-up thread, too. I'm here day and night. I keep it open during the day; I have a fair amount of down time during the day. I read a lot and don't post as much on Fridays, though. I like people from the day, and I like night folks too. But I do like that periodically, we do the love and doves stuff (puppies and rainbows make me think of the "rainbow bridge" too much, and that makes me sad...)

I agree with LVB on the night crew. I really like nights and weekends around here - you can actually have conversations. Days go too fast for me, and I miss stuff. Plus all of you guys who hang around here at night are awesome.THIS!!I've always loved night crew.

Salt, that's hilarious that people would say they were "afraid of you." Not that you aren't someone to reckon with, but out of everyone here? You? I worry about those people in general life.I get that some people think alike sometimes, but I've noticed a lot of people who post "ditto, this, etc" every time. Shelley, I agree with this 98% of the time (ditto you, haha), but sometimes I like when people say "ditto," or "I agree, but andplusalso" because then I get that the majority of people think this way. Sometimes questions have one or two potential answers, so if no one ditto-ed, it would be a really short thread with one person's opinion. :)That said, your baby shower question the other day got crazy misunderstood and I couldn't read it anymore. I actually wish I were more like you Salt (IRL). I feel like I'm so uptight, it's really hard for me to totally let my guard down and just be a goof ball, even around FI. I blame my adoptive parents. They are really prominent members in our community and when they got me, they made it very clear that my actions would reflect upon them. I think I took that to heart wayyy too much and don't really let loose.

Can I ask a BC question?  I'm on the pill right now and we use condoms, every time.  I shouldn't be on the pill because of clotting in my family.  So, I plan to go off it after the wedding.  I investigated IUD, and other stuff and mostly they all have a reason I shouldn't use them.  FI is nervous just using condoms.  Are condoms alone really that unreliable?

Eh, we used condoms alone for like 3 years (as teenagers, so we were um...busy) and we had no problems.

Nite_Sprite, check out the Nest's Sex & Relationships board.  Pretty much all they get are questions about BC and BCP.My mom went on BCP for a month before her second wedding to shift AF and ended up with a DVT in her leg.  I'm still on BC.  I vote stay on the pill and just be aware.

I haven't started it yet. I'm still deciding between that and the copper IUD. Our plan is for me to stay on the ring until about 2 months after we get married. We figure 2 months of a good 'honeymoon period' and then I'll switch to one of them.Why did you decide against the IUD?Oh, and you know how they told us in sexx ed that if you have sex, you WILL get KU? My uterus is too small for IUD.  My gyno thinks my likelihood of fissure or other problems is high, so then there's the arm implant, but that can turn and stuff.  I work out too regularly to not be able to use my bicep.  Then all the hormonal methods (pill, ring, patch) come in and those are bad news.

LVB, are you on nuvaring??  Um, have you had an adverse va-jay-jay reactions to it?My first few months were freaking amazing, but lately things have been off.  The only difference I can think of was a) lots of HM sexx, and b) I stopped taking B vitamins every day...ChamP Super, no prob.  You're fun.  I like your style.  You pictures are awesome too, btw.

I think we'll end up doing a combo of NFP and condoms (still every time).  I talked to my mom about it a bit.  She told me a horror story about her coworker/friend who started NFP and they were pregnant in 2.5 months.

[/i] Haha that's because I'm a huge post hoar and my job is such that I am in front of a computer all day. LVB - I think I might be a little too laid back, honestly. I could probably stand to reign it in a little bit IRL. My mom likes to remind me of that every time she talks to me. I'm supposed to act like an adult. I just need to say, I love Koopa because whenever I see her dog in her sig, I think of him in a very Mario Bros. situation. God I love Nintendo.

I do the ditto thing because 15 people saying the same thing is more convincing than 2.As far as BC, I used condoms for years and never had a problem.  That combined with knowing your cycle (and temping - check out Taking Charge of Your Fertility) and you shouldn't have any accidents.
