It's nice to hear that not everyone is super close to their parents. I haven't even told my dad that he was almost a grandparent, and my mom said some pretty awful things to me about it when I talked to her yesterday.

That's exactly what I'm hoping for, Night_Sprite, that she'll get out here. She's been telling me that I really need to start thinking about it, but with a wedding in October, I think I can drag my feet until at least February.What would be IDEAL is to land some super cheap tickets for me to get out there early next year - I'm hoping maybe for a post-holiday sale - because I'd hate to exclude my sister and she could never afford to come out here.I am sure it will get worked out somehow, because... it has to.My mom is right, though, I do need to at least start narrowing down some ideas. I have NO IDEA what I am interested in at ALL. This thread is probably dead/asleep, but TJ if you're still up, if you just come up to Fresno for Thanksgiving, I'd totally go dress shopping with you! I'll be visiting my mom, and as interesting as Fresno is, I'm sure we could make time for wedding dress shopping.

tj, if it makes you feel any better, after you explained what you were talking about I totally got it. if salt were here, I'd be one-arm-dragging-her-around-t-everyone saing, "this is SALT! she helps me with LOGOS! and look how pretty she is!" and it'd pretty much be awky for her but I wouldn't notice cause I do that to people I dig. they get used to it eventually. I'm glad my thread helped people connect, even if I did admit to some weird stuff. don't judge me!!
