In Response to Re: Monday! : I will let my gas gauge get down beyond E before I will fill it up.  I pretty much have it down to a science and so far have managed to fill up before I completely run out of gas.  FI keeps harping on me that I will run out of gas one day and be stuck somewhere.  I tell him to stop talking about it because he's going to jinx me.
Posted by calixtine
I do this too.

Oh, it says I have four miles to E.  I can totally get gas on the way to work tomorrow instead of stopping now!
I think SUVs are an "I don't get it" for me. Why does everyone want one? Like, I could understand why people who actually go driving around in the middle of nowhere would want them, but for people who live in cities? In suburbs? I don't get it. Maybe I'd get it if I had a bunch of extra money sitting around to throw at a gas tank.

SUVs were an I don't get it for me...until we bought a house.  its been quite hysterical trying to do some projects and having to solicit help from friends with SUVs or trucks to help us get stuff home.  this past weekend we had to take 2 cars to home depot to get the supplies for our patio home....our cars were not happy with us.

• I get SUVs... I just don't really want one at this point in my life.

This is how I felt yesterday with the mega morning/afternoon/evening thread. That thing was like 31 damn pages on my phone.

• I think the gas mileage thing, for me, is that in order to have an SUV, I'd have to be buying a new car. Now, a brand new SUV will get about the same gas mileage as the car I have now, but if I'm buying a new vehicle, I want to get significantly *better* gas mileage.

Also, I have no kids, my dog is 10 lbs, and don't own a house, so my need for hauling things around is limited.
I hate the mobile site.  It sucks elephant balls. I really don't feel like going to the hairdresser.
Posted by EaglesBride2012
I love going to the hair dresser. Usually. I'm going to someone new tomorrow though, so I'm a little nervous. I hope getting my hair cut by a new person a week before engagement pictures doesn't bite me in the ass. I'm not worried about the color though, I know she does wonderful highlights.
imageWedding Countdown Ticker
• I am not a fan of the mobile site either. But it will have I do from work for now. I get my hai done tomorrow and I am SO excited about it.
• I cannot wait until my next hair cut. It's happening on Sunday in Florida because I can't stand it for the whole week. I miss going to my hairdresser. I stopped going to her and started going to a cheaper place where you just get whoever every time to save money for the wedding.
• I'm trying the salon that is walking distance from my apartment :. I bring my kindle to read while my color processes.
• Midge,
I have a hair appointment already scheduled for the tuesday after my wedding (they're closed sun/mon).  I cannot wait to have a more managable do.

• My old salon had awful service and it was hard to get on the internet... hopefully this new place will let me play around on TK while my highlights do their thing.
imageWedding Countdown Ticker
• KJ, mine isn't even that long so people think I'm crazy. I get it cut every single month though so missing a month is kind of a big deal.
• I haven't had a haircut in...2 years.  Embarassed
• I see its short in your photo, my sister keeps her hair short and schedules appointments every 6 weeks or so.  I haven't had more than a trim in more than 2 years, I'm planning to go way short after the wedding.

• I don't know what I'm doing length wise for the wedding. I guess I'll have to let it grow, in order to have the style I want. Ick. Maybe I should skip the cut tomorrow.
Angel - it was my StepMom's. They helped both my brothers with getting new cars, so when the passport pretty much died on me, she gave me the MC and got herself a new car. And yea, I irrationally hate it.

I irrationally hate my altima, so I know the feeling. Sucks cause it's my new car that I just bought last November.

• Kept mine long for about 6 months after the wedding. Then I chopped it off and now after a year and a half of keeping it fairly short I'm growing it out again. I cycle back and forth between short bob between ear and chin short and long just above the bra strap long.

I only get mine cut once or twice a year.  I'm lazy.  I'm definitely getting it dip-dyed when I quit my job, though, and I'm SUPER excited about that.

I'm doing my trial run on saturday, once we figure out what sort of up-do they're going to do my stylist is going to cut it so it is a good length for that. the past 6 months or so I've been avoiding getting a hair-cut because I didn't want to rule out any style possibilities simply because my hair was too short.

• Purple/blue/green or purple/blue/fuschia.  I'm not 100% sure yet.  My stylist is going to be so excited.  I've never done anything dramatic with my hair before.

• I've changed my hair color a few times, but always to colors that can be found in nature :)

Actually, that's probably not true... I don't think I've ever seen anyone with the color red I had, naturally.. but it's a common color regardless.

• I'm trying to decide what to do color wise for the wedding.  at the moment my hair is a very dark brown color, but naturally I'm more of a reddish brown color.  I'm leaning towards getting some blonde/red highlights to bring me closer to my natural color, but I'm not 100% sure yet.
