Are you effing kidding me?

Re: Are you effing kidding me?

• I'm debating on our plans tonight.  I work about 30 miles from home.  We have plans to go bowling for a friends birthday in between here and there, so I need to drive all the way home and then turn around and come half way back (45 miles), which is no big deal.  Well we were now invited to also go to dinner with them down the street from where I work.  If we did that then either H will have to drive all the way here or I will have to drive home just to drive back.  I just don't know if it's worth it.

• Boulder is 30-40 minutes depending on traffic.  I don't know that I'd go up there every week, but if you're actually getting fresh produce, a lot of it can last almost 2 weeks before it spoils.  Or you cook it all during week 1 and eat leftovers during week 2.  We'll see how it goes.
• I have no plans for tonight yet, but I hope my cousin wants to do something. We might go to get some bathroom supplies for my new second bathroom. Interesting life I lead, I know.

• H is bringing home some Dewey's pizza. Their seasonal pizza is a Cuban one, with pulled pork, mustard base, pickles, all that jazz. I'm intrigued.

I have a headache. I've spent most of the day working on my freaking presentation (assigned yesterday, due Thursday, 40 minutes long). The subject matter (Saddam Hussein's sons) is really depressing and keeps making me feel like I need to hug a baby. FFF and TK in general has been a good distraction. Read about rapes, yell at Steffi. Read about burying people alive, talk about e-rings.

• ok..I am super bummed.

I talked to my mom...the breast biopsy came back good (just necrosis of tissue)
but the thyroid ultrasound showed calcification, and they want to do a biopsy of that.  I stupidily googled it and found a site that said 60% of thyroid calcifications are malignant. :(

Soooo tomorrow is my birthday and a few weeks ago, H asked me what I wanted to do for it.  I said I wanted to have people over.  Well a few people said they were going to be away....a few never responded, and it looked like it was just going to be my best friend and her H...I was still excited. buuuuuut she just texted and said she isn't feeling well and they aren't coming.  :(

I know it's hard, but try to stay away from the internets when it comes to stuff like that. A lof of it is straight bullshitt. I'll be thinking about you and your momma.

• I'm sorry, Hockey.
• on the plus side...i decided I am not cleaning the bathroom.
• Loopy that is ridiculous. Are there any local food stores near you?
• Grrr.
I was on page two of FFF and then the whole thing just disappeared except the first two pages in IE universe.
It was a good FFF too...
Did TK just eat the best FFF we've had in weeks?  I was only on page 2.
Posted by Loopyseven
Yep, yep it did.  I can see it in my post history but when I click on the thread, I can only see the first two pages of it.  We were on page 23 when it all went to hell. Frackin TK.

• It just completely disappeared in Firefox and IE.
• Screw this shiiit...I'm going to address my STD envelopes.

And deal with my stoned eldest daughter.  She's switched from show tunes to opera.  Joy.
• Erin - I'll look into that.  I had kind of looked into Door-to-door organics at one point cause I know they do that here but it seemed expensive.  I am still doing some homework on the situation.  I was spoiled in OH cause H's aunt and uncle had a 40 acre farm with a handful of green houses and I could go "shopping" there whenever I wanted.  But I spent lots of time at farmers markets around Cleveland and none of them were as bad as the ones by our apartment seem to be.

Sorry - my dad called and wanted to chat.

Hockey - sorry your friend is ditching you.  That stinks - especially when it's your birthday.  It makes it like a double whammy.  I am not cleaning my bathroom either :).
• Hocky - I'm sorry you friend backed out. That really sucks.

I don't have any real concrete plans for the weekend. I just got confirmation from someone that my mother does take pills illegally, so I'm pretty upset about that and trying to figure out what I need to do.

H was upset on my behalf. He sucks at being comforting over the phone, he's not very good at expressing his feelings verbally. So he told me he's sick of not being able to help much with the stress and stuff I'm going through. Then he told me he is paying for me to have a spa day which includes a sauna, full session massage, spa facial, and replenishing foot treatment with a lunch provided. I have it scheduled for Thursday and I'm so freaking excited. I've never had any of that stuff done before.

• Aw Poke - that's adorable.  Sorry he's not great at phone comfort, but a spa day is wonderful.  I missed something that was mentioned the other night, but people had moved on by the time I go to the night thread - you're rehoming your animals?  Or your mom's animals?  How did that happen?

I'm bored out of my mind. I can't think of anything to do to entertain me for 2 more hours until H gets home. Then I'm sure he'll be grumpy and not want to do anything since he's worked all day.

<div>Well, we're the softie family. When people don't want their pets anymore they give them to us and we keep them and love them. That's how we ended up with 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a bird. Which was fine when my dad was home all the time and the care of the animals was divided up pretty evenly. </div><div>
</div><div>Well, he went to trucking school and leased a truck because he had no other option job wise and my mom refused to get a full time job. So then it fell to my mom and I to care for all of the animals. She's too lazy to keep up with energetic dogs. My cats are outside cats mainly, so she keeps them fed and watered and then the chiuaua is her favorite, and she keeps it with her all the time. The care of the other two dogs fell to me, which was fine. </div><div>
</div><div>Since I'm going to England, I knew that my mom would be unable to care for all 6 of the animals by herself. My little sister is too selfish to care for the dogs they way they need to be cared for. My Aunt came from NOLA to help us out wiht some stuff, and brought up her concerns about the animals with me. She talked to my mom and my mom agreed that the animals needed to be re-homed. They know someone that is really good at it in NOLA so when they went to visit they packed up the dogs and took them with. </div><div>
</div><div>It's the best option for them. They will go to a family that has enough money to take them regularly to the vet and to be groomed, and enough time to make them happy. </div><div>
</div><div>So yeah, they're my parents dogs but they kind of became my dogs after I took responsibility for their care. If I wasn't moving to England I would just take htem with me when I move out. </div>
• I got to page 18 of FFF before it disappeared. Now I'm wondering if there was anything really juicy in the last 4 pages.

Hockey, sorry about your birthday plans falling through. Maybe your best friend will want to take you out to celebrate another day?  I'm all about celebrating the birthday week or even birthday month.

It's pouring out and I just don't want to drive to gym. I'm still sick and thinking of asking H to pick up some medicine but I don't know what kind. I worked a ton of OT this week and am beat. I also planned to pack up my closet but I just don't want to do anything.
imageAnniversary
• So what made todays FFF so good?
• Got it Poke.  Can you take your cats to England with you?  There might be a quarantine period or something at the beginning, but I don't know if there's laws against it or something else prohibiting it.

Hi Barrell!  I hope your H is not too grumpy.  Or at least that he doesn't take it out on you, if he is :).

Tracey - when do you move?  It's a new place in the same area, right?  Your H has another year of school yet, right?
• Loopy - the cats aren't a problem. They're not really "mine" either. I'm way more attached to the dogs. It's only the two dogs and the bird. My mom can handle two outdoor cats and a chiauau
