It's a blah Wednesday morning here.

I was up way too late worrying about some things, and trying to decide what the dog was going to destruct this time. I decided to give him an hour of crate time, then let him out. He actually was transfixed by Batman vs. Mr. Freeze on the Hub. It was hilarious.

I saw 3AM. That, plus a migraine, plus a parking ticket yesterday, and I'm already ready for the day to be over. Plus, I'm here an extra 30 minutes today.

They weren't too different but I liked the writing style better in Taking Charge (the one I should have bought).

Haha, TR, in Chile you usually have to ask the pharmacist to give them to you because most of the time they're behind the counter. It's extra uncomfortable.

H's mom is a nurse, and before I had health insurance she would just get me in to see a doctor at her clinic. I got pneumonia right after I moved here and had to be on antibiotics, so we walk out of the appointment and I tell him we need to buy condoms since some antibiotics can affect the pill. He gets all angry and says "why didn't you just ask my mom for some for free? They're expensive!" Dude, I will gladly pay what they cost to avoid asking your mother for condoms so I can get it on with her son.

Oh, and as far as BCP goes, I went off, because I was tired of it. I've been on it for 25 years or so. Within 6 months, I had cysts, some endometriosis, that sent me to the ER, and bam. Back on I go. Crap.
We aren't TTC, I just didn't want to be on them. TTC is not likely for us, for many reasons.

I just had to go check to see if I got the right book. The one by Toni Weschler is the right one, correct?

Not that I have actually cracked the book yet anyway. My current rx runs through January and we have agreed to re-evaluate then. Plus I'm afraid charting will be hard for me because I don't sleep well and I've heard that can mess with your temps.

Go with the CF monitoring instead of the temps.  If you don't know what I mean by CF, just think about it.  We don't utter those words on E :).

I just bought them for the first time ever last week.  H has always bought them.  Although, I must say that buying a pregnancy test is WAY more awkward than buying condoms.

Ha, it's called depo.  But that makes it so they can't get it up so I guess that defeats the purpose for this conversation.

True story - one time in college I bought a pregnancy test and before I went to the store I put on this little fake diamon ring my Grandma had given me when I was a kid so hopefully the person checking me out wouldn't judge as much.

Doc - I can't figure out CF.  I know CM...  :::runs to TB to check out acronyms:::

A few months ago when I was switching up my BCP FI bought condoms at Costco. That was really embarassing for some reason, buying them in BULK.

TR, you should definitely submit that one to MasterCard. And I can't figure out CF either. I even tried Google, and it just insists that I'm talking about cystic fibrosis.

Rosie, the image of you with a giant crate of hundreds of condoms is making me laugh.

I think they are working on a BCP for men.  But I wouldn't trust a guy to remember to take a pill every day.  As much of a PITA that BCP are...I love knowing I'm in charge of the risk of pregnancy.

I've never bought condoms, I have no clue how much they cost. I did take the free ones from the health center in college a few times though, even though they were always crazy colors.


Buying a pregnancy test is beyond embarrassing though. At least most CVS stores here have self checkout, that makes it somewhat bearable.

That is totally what I've done the couple times I watched too much "I didn't know I was pregnant" and felt the need to POAS.  I got them from the grocery store instead of Target so I could do self check-out, lol.

I've never bought condoms, but I would make H do it if we had to. I can't buy KY at the regular register either, I have to go to the self-checkout. H is trying to convince me to go to the Adam & Eve store here, where "no one will judge you" for buying it. Methinks he wants to buy me outfit or something and is trying to pretend it's for the KY. Not that I mind, it's just funny he won't admit it, he gets embarrassed easily too. I don't think he knows what he's in for though if he brings me there. He knows I have a warped sense of humor.

But when I go to the doc in July I'm going to attempt, once again, to convince her to fix me. She wouldn't do it before because I was young and unmarried. Well, now I'm older and married. Tie me up, damnit.

I'm laughing at everyone being embarassed to buy pregnancy tests. (which I originally typed as "testes"heehee)  When I was buying them hoping for a positive test I wanted to carry them over my head and proclaim "I AM HOPING I AM PREGNANT!"  No one cared of course. No one knows if you're buying them hoping for one result or another, it's all in your head.

And if you really want to mess with the cashier, buy condoms, lube, a pee stick and some adult diapers all at the same time.
