Re: FFF

  • Hey, people, I did this for Fishy (you know, pointing out the dog vomit).  See what I do for you fishy?  SEE???

  • I'm still confused about the dog throwing up in the same place twice?? puking =/= marking territory, does it?

  • No, it doesn't.  Puking is puking.

  • Ha, Moose I'm surprised people didn't say anything earlier too.  I read it and kept on reading FFF and planned to flame once I got through reading.  By then, the flaming had finally started.
  • FYI - when dogs regularly eat their own excrement, it's usually an indication that something is lacking in their diet (vitamins, minerals, etc)

I never said my dog ate his own crap. And he pukes because he drinks water like it's going out of style then runs circles around the living room. And it's really like once or twice a day and I asked my vet, thank-you-very-much, and he said it was normal behavior for puppies.

I may be wrong but I think dogs have places they like to puke. My dog, when he does throw up, always does it in the same couple of places. I dont really understand why.
  • Here's a good segue:  Imagine if the dog ate that cake!  Man, that puke would be colorful!

Did that work?  Am I doing this wrong?

I meant I was deodorizing the carpet so he doesn't go back to it later. Dogs have very sensitve noses and tend to do things in the same place twice even if you clean it.

I get cleaning it to rid it of smell (and germs), but even so---my dog doesn't dart down the stairs to go to his favorite vomit spot time after time...when he pukes, he pukes. I have a feeling he doesn't have much control over where or when it happens---unlike peeing on something.

  • Liz - in all seriousness, your vet is a quack.  Vomiting multiple times a day is. not. normal.

Your dog could have a serious medical condition.  I suggest talking to another vet.  Or at least look here:
