I was a goalie when I played and that used to grate my nerves more than anything!  Like kick the ball out of bounds like you're 11 but don't expose me.  Idiots.  I'll gladly come give them a lesson.  I'm on my way to Chile, I just have to be back by Monday.

Birdie, I hate post offices in general and find most postal employees to be rude. Except 1 guy at 1 post office around here, he is always chipper and helpful. Can you schedule for a later date?

Fail, Birdie.    I have to get my driver's license changed after work and I am dreading that.  But.  After six months, it's finally time I changed my damn name on my license.

Ugh, I don't even want to think about name change stuff. I am not excited about that.

I think the only things I've changed so far are my social security card and a credit card.  I'm slow.

You guys could live in Ohio and have to get ugly a$$ pink licenses when you renew.  They are so freaking ugly.

Birdie, that sucks.  That's how they are around here too.  My friend once went in person to get her passport processed and there were no other patrons there waiting but they still told her she would have to make an appointment.  She pulled out her cell phone and called their office phone...they didn't take too kindly to that one.

I think changing my name was pretty easy. I did have to hang out at the DMV for a while, but overall it only took me about half a day.

Stacks, exactly. Even if you just try to kick the ball out of bounds and fail, that's ok, you're a beginner, at least you tried. But yesterday one of the girls who was playing on the wing passed me, the sweeeper/stopper, the ball right in front of our goal. People, that is suicide.

Yeah I made an appointment for Monday morning, but I just really wanted to get it done today. I mean REALLY? I just can't see them being THAT booked for today, so it makes me think they only see people a few times a day instead of what their website SAYS they do.

And I already have my picture taken and all of my paperwork together, I just need to go in and be like "here it is!" and then fork over a shiit ton of cash because of the ridiculous fees now.

My SS was so quick.  Nobody was at the office when I got there so I was in and out in five minutes.  I don't have to go to the DMV because there's a renewal center a few blocks from my house, which is nice.  I just don't know how busy it will be, since they're only open on Wednesdays and Fridays.

The DMV/BMV (can't remember what it is here) is actually not bad for me. There's one a block away from my office building, so when I had to get my Kentucky license I just showed up early that morning and was second in line. I was in and out in no time. Indiana's offices, on the other hand, can kiss my arse.

At least the good news for you Birdie is that once you are married you can renew your passport with your new name for free within a year. It worked out that way for me too because I had to renew mine before I went on my honeymoon.

Morning all! It's grey and dismal and rainy here. Good part of that is, it's lowered the pollen count for today, and it will be even lower tomorrow. But it will still be rainy tomorrow.
Bad news part of that, is the barometric pressure keeps dropping. That equals migraine. If I had a sick day, I probably would have taken it today.

People in my office are amused with tomorrow as well. We were also talking about zombies. No one cares if they're slow ones. Only fast ones, then - no one wants to run from them.

I still have my old OH driver's license with my address from 2 years ago AND my maiden name, so don't feel bad. The license is still valid and I have to get a new one in Nov for my bday, so I figure I will wait until then since we *hopefully* will have our own place by then. And I haven't had any issues with it at all thus far.   :::knocks on wood:::

Birdie - the passport thing was frustrating for us, too. Neither H or I had one before the HM. The post office in GA had funky hours, too, and it was hard for H to get there with his work hours. We finally got there and I realized I didn't have our joint checkbook. Thank God I still had my checkbook and was able to pay for both of them out of that. Grr the government.

I haven't switched my passport yet, I renewed a few years ago and was feeling cheap about paying more money to change the name.  I think I'll travel under my maiden name when I go abroad for a while.

SS was super fast.  I was the only person there with 5 SS employees.  The DMV took forever, though, since my state is broke.

I just had to share this, a chick on FB was complaining about our local mcdonalds and someone responded with this:
"atleast you got something LOL. I wantto the one in Perry Hall the other day and I ordered a stupid little cheeseburger and I got a bun with cheese.... NO BURGER! Sadly this is not the first time that has happened. UGH. The higher the brightest huh (lol I worked there when i was a kid hehehe)"

That for some reason reminds me of a time I went to a party and didn't have a lighter so I lit my cigarette on the stove burner (I am so cool) and went running through the house with my cigarette to get outside. I had a super drunk guy call me a fire breathing dragon all night.
