FRIDAY!

Re: FRIDAY!

  • Oh gosh, Stacks. I dunno about my favorite restaurant. I feel like we have been gone too long to remember everything. So much as changed, some for the better. I feel like I have to think about where I am going now when I am driving around until my brain re-familiarizes itself with the city.

I know we are going to Carrabbas tonight, but my sister picked it since its her bday. I really like the Cameron Mitchell restaurant. We have eaten at the one on 161 in Linworth before. It was delicious. I have also heard good things about Hyde Park. I have never eaten there, but one of the girls I used to work with had a friend whose husband was the manager at the one in Worthington. (I think there are a few locations). I guess it also depends on what kind of food and atmosphere you and your H like.

I hope we can do something for our anniversary next month.
  • Smello beaches.

I have decided to block any weather checking abilities from my computer. Whatever mother nature brings in these upcoming days, well that is just what it has to be.

Got a nice big iced coffee and a shiit ton of work to do today. :)

  • Wow, bay. I thought the people I work with suck. They are just smelly and loud, yours take the cake for the worst. How does being upset over a weight joke make you too sensitive? No, it makes you huma with feelings. Asses. I hate them for you.
  • I'm happy next weekend is three days, but I doubt I'm going to have any relaxing time.  It's my MIL's 50th birthday and my brother's 18th.

  • Morning!  Of course on Friday it's pouring and dark out.  I'm leaving for Chicago today, so I get to drive in thunderstorms for 8 hours.

Adamar - I had a dream last night that you were in!  TV was talking about some celebrity (I forget who) who married a country singer and it was you.  They called you Adamar too.  I was thinking in my dream I didn't remember her saying she was a country singer.
  • Rosie, I just stalked your wedding bio, and I love that you compared your dress to a mullet AND a dragon.

Hahaha that's hilarious.  I really should have put more thought into my name.  Although I guess I would fit in with the crazy name celeb world.

  • What is actually in sangria?  I've never had it.

MS - carrabas is pretty good, but Mr Stack is only so so about Italian food.  His perfect dinner would be chicken wings, and I could bet a million dollars that's what he'll suggest.  (except to make it romantical he'll suggest we eat there instead of getting takeout)  Ok, I'm totally kidding, he's a bit more romantic than that, but I'm sure he'll start the bidding with chicken wings.
  • Stacks -- it's wine and cut up fruit.  Some people add fruit juice too.

    Morning everyone!

Bay, I'm sorry you work with such mean people.

I'm so happy it's Friday Were going out for BBQ tonight for a friend's birthday and then I get my hair cut tomorrow, which I need badly. And this is the last weekend before our crazy summer of weddings starts, so I hope I get a chance to relax a bit.
  • Yea, I don't do wine so I guess that's out for me.  Boo

  • Morning ladies!

I'm feeling really weird this morning.  Here's the story.  On Tuesday we had our monthly admissions meeting and there's a new academic director for one of our programs so he came in to speak to us.  Holy. Cow.  This guy was so hot.  Like a more clean cut Robert Downey Jr.  So that night I had a dream about him.  Nothing sordid, but we flirted and he definitely liked me.  I ended up having to leave wherever we were and told him it was because I was married, haha.

So yesterday I was leaving work and happened to catch a glimpse of him in a meeting in our restaurant downstairs (he usually works 8 blocks away, thank God).  So last night?  Yep, another dream.  This time we were, like, out to dinner and he kept touching my knee and I kept telling him that although I was really attracted to him, I was married.

I woke up feeling really guilty because the attraction in the dream was so strong Embarassed

In Spain they make Tinto de Verano which is red wine mixed with either lemon or orange Fanta. That is so good. We drank the hell out of it when I was there.

My mom's recipe has a ton more stuff in it.  She uses like 6 different kinds of liquor, red wine, cranberry juice, orange juice, and cinnnamon.  YUM.

TR, there is an insanely hot guy in my office that I've had dreams about before. So don't worry, you aren't the only one. I also used to have dreams about one of my really attractive college professors.

  • TR: YUP.  I do.

Stacks, I'm not a wine-drinker either (blasphemy around here, I know).  But I still do like sangria.  Especially if it has fruit juice in it.  I'm pretty much a lightweight.

  • I wasn't a wine drinker at ALL until H started getting a free case of wine each month and I've been tasting them.  Now there are a couple Pinot Noirs I think I'd enjoy with a steak or something, a Vino Verde I really like sipping on and a couple Sauvignon Blancs that are pretty tasty.

  • If we have a Florida gtg, I can provide the sangria.  Just throwing that out there.

  • Morning. Can I just crawl under my desk and have one of you guys wake me up at 6pm when it's time to go home?

We lost our soccer game yesterday which we totally could have won, and I am annoyed at 90% of the people on my team. I don't mind that they're new to soccer and therefore technically have lots of room for improvement, but I do mind that after all this time practicing there are people jogging or doing STUPID shiit (like taking the ball into the center of the field right in front of our goal rather than taking it out to the sidelines). That is not lack of skill, that is physical and mental laziness.

And I am sick of my job right now and really sick of my foot/ankle/back problems that haven't gotten better despite expensive acupuncture and annoyed that tomorrow is a national holiday because it doesn't give me a day off work and just means all the things I don't have time to do during the week and instead cram into Saturdays are closed.

I am a ray of sunshine this morning.
  • *HUGS*, Em.  I hope you feel better :(

  • Grr I'm annoyed now. Our post offices force you to make an appointment to apply for a passport, but they never answer their phone. When they finally DO answer, they're rude and unfriendly. And somehow ALL of their appointments for today are booked. The website says their passport hours are from 9:30 - 4:15, so I don't see how they have THAT many peope applying today. Undecided
  • Aw Em, I'm sorry.  I hope your day gets better.  And seriously, not crossing the ball in front of your goal is like the first rule of soccer!
  • THANK YOU STACKS. Can you come tell my team this? I could have hit a couple of them. We are all professional women who work at a good company, so clearly we have at least like 5 neurons each. It should only take about half of one of those neurons to remember something that basic, especially when we talked about it right before the game because apparently this happened last week as well.
