Tuesday morning

Re: Tuesday morning

• We're planning to go to the Keys for our honeymoon and take the big telescope for a week.

Since our first date was near a full moon we changed our date so we'd have better skies. LOL

[QUOTE]Good morning all! The barn cats got into a fight with something on the porch at 1am and I didn't get to sleep last night. I went out to check on them and they ran into my house and left me on the porch. My cohort and work and I are dressed alike. Again. It's scarry, we do this a lot and we don't plan it. LOL

So I must say that I'm sorry this happened but the thing that keeps popping in my head is when Fred Flintsone gets locked out of the house by the saber-tooth cat. I tried to find a video buy my search skills have been lacking lately.

I was just miffed at them. Poor kitties, though. Every hair on their bodies were standing up and they were behind my couch. Took half an hour to get them out of the house. Maybe there was a sabre tooth cat out there, I didn't see what they were fighting, just caught a glimpse of the shadow.

Too much middle of the night excitement.

• We will be on the St Lawrence River in and around Kingston for our honeymoon. Should be lots of sunsets, stargazing, and island hopping. Leaving in 10 days. Holy fun Batman.

We did not book in advance except a boat slip in Kingston, Canada. Filling 400 gallons of fuel into the boat will be the biggest expense at over $4.00 per gallon. OUCH!
• What kind of boat do you guys have, Ski?

• Happy birthday Habs! I don't feel any older either. Good luck with the house.

It's a beautiful day outside, I hope I get to spend some time out there today.

• By 400 gallons do you mean for the whole trip or that is how much your boat holds at a time? Because holy crap that is some boat.

• That's a sweet boat, Ski. I wish I wasn't so claustrophobic. I can't stay down in cabins like that for any extended period of time.

• Oh well a 43 footer would do it. Holy poop ski, you guys have an awesome yacht.

• Happy birthday Habs and J&K!

Note to self: Go boating with Ski.
• I lived on a 60' houseboat for a while. That was so much fun...

I'd love to have a boat.

• Ski - Beauty boat! My dad is big into boating and I love spending time on his. Hopefully you have great weather for your honeymoon! The fuel is stupid expensive for it, but worth it, because it's so nice to go anchor out in the middle of nowhere and forget about everything.

Admar, not too claustraphobic in the master cabin, although the shower in the head freaks me out some, especially if there is wave action going when I am taking a shower.

FI loves his boats. We stay on it most weekends. And yes, I would so love for all to come to the 1000 Islands and have a boat party with me. That would be fun. Pirates weekend is always a hoot, Let's get planning. (first two weekends in August every year)

Beanie, I follow up with utilities every month like clockwork. Your boss is being a little impatient.

I would still get claustrophobic. When we go to the boat show I can only stay down in the ginormous yachts for more than a minute. I have this weird thing about needing a window/porthole that I could fit out of. It's completely irrational.

• 1000 islands is so pretty. My dad's boats are in Florida and Mexico right now. He was debating bringing the smaller one up for the summer, but it might still be too big to not go through the bay of Fundy. They don't want to do that. I don't blame them. Does your boat live in the 1000 islands?

• No it is not Admar, I totally get it. On a window/porthole note. I couldn't resist getting porthole graphics for the inside of the port a pot that the venue made us get for the reception. Six bathrooms at the venue (two houses on the river) and they wanted us to also have a port-o-pot. Classy, I tell you classy. Oh well, I am dressing it up a bit with fake porthole graphics.

Morning all! This is my second week back to work since the honeymoon and I am regretting coming back even more than I did the first week. I want to live on a beach with clear warm water forever now.

Ski-DH wants to get a boat at some point; I'm kind of dreading that day because I get sea sick but I am intrigued by pirate week. I may be willing to endure sea sickness for that!

• Habs, yes the boat lives in the 1000 Islands. Right across from Boldt Castle. FI's grew up coming to this area every summer. His dad has a cottage there that we enjoy. How far away are you from the Alexandria Bay Area?

The water is so clear.
• Beanie, clearly that's the most logical conclusion.

I got my new SS card in the mail yesterday and I'm hoping to get my new license tomorrow night!
• Yowzer Midge, that was fast!

• Ski - I'm about 2.5-3 hrs from Kingston. I'm up in the Muskokas.

• Heh, I would have done it last night but I had a package to pick up at the apartment office and a pizza to wait for. The county clerk's office is less than 5 minutes away from our place and the SS office is less than 2 blocks away from my office. I'm just a smidgen excited to have everything say Jessica Newlastname on it. :)

Good morning all!

Good luck with your new bank card. One of my banks got it right the first time. The other one took three tries before they got it right. I've heard this is fairly common. Both banks warned me in advance that the system likes to override name changes on cards even if it's done correctly on their end.

Wow! And I thought I was on the ball with changing my name :). If I don't do things immediately, then I tend to procrastinate the task into never so I started changing my name on all my stuff as soon as we came back from the honeymoon. I got the DL and SS card and changed it on my bank account....I kind of lost momentum after that though and haven't changed it on all the cards or passport.
