I remember when I was young and had the first 'talk' with my bio dad, I was mortified...but only because I already knew everything he was telling me. The school bus talk was surprisingly acurate. But I was scared he would be mad, so I told him I didn't know any of it.

My dad's gay so you can imagine what the sex talk would have been like if there had ever been one in my house. I don't remember how I learned really. I think it was from seeing the "Joy of Sex" book that was in the house.

I forget the exact details. I remember some girls were asking questions about vibrators and others were giving honest answers. It was one of my favorite discussions on here personally. I don't get why some people were clutching their pearls. Sex happens.

I remember my dad had to sign a release slip so I could watch some sex video in school and he was all "ummmm uhhhhh so do you know uhhh what this is about?" And i was equally as freaked out so I just said yes. I didn't really learn the details of what happens until 8th grade sex class. I thought people just rubbed against each other to make babies (because thats what I saw in the movies!) up until that point.

The one "sex talk" I got was after my parents apparently saw...something...going on between Rick and I (we weren't exactly sneaky as teens) and my mom made me feel horrible and my dad told Rick that the area from my chin to my knees was off limits. There may have been mention of a baseball bat as well...

The only "discussion" I ever got was health class and the lecture from my father that started with "women in our family are very fertile.  I barely had to touch your mother.  Don't ever think it won't happen to you". (this was RE ending up with an oops-a-baby) Not the best thing to be telling a teenage girl to encourage healthy sex later in life.

I can't believe people had issues with the sexy talk. Don't read it if you don't like it.... What's the issue?

My mom is a nurse, so she gave me a sex ed book to read and we discussed it. My mom's a pretty cool mom, so it wasn't as awkward as it could have been.

Things were super awky with my bio dad. But my adoptive mom was an 8th grade science teacher so we were always SUPER open with it. Totally weird story alert: My adoptive dad took me for a ride in his truck one day after I started college. He gave me the 'don't be a slut' talk. And then he gave me $100 to make up for the weirdness. hahahaha

That reminds me, my vibrator broke.  I replaced the batteries - still not working.  I didn't totally love that one (it was a gift after a friend had a sex toy party) but I do want to pick a new one out.  I've just never bought one before.
