[QUOTE]Angel, is the baby warming up to you at all? Hockey, I'd be hurt too.  We'd all bring you fluffy pillows and ice cream if we could. <strong> Texas, that turned out great! </strong>I've got 2 hours left of work and because of some fumes from work they're doing down the hallway, that's about 2 hours too many.

    <div>Thanks!</div><div>
</div><div>It actually wasn't as difficult as I thought it was gonna be.  Gluing on the ribbon was the difficult part because it was being stubborn and didn't want to stay on candle/vellum paper. </div>

  • Wow Megbo you are putting me to shame.  It's our 2 year and I reheated chicken burgers from yesterday, some green beans and brown rice.  Granted if H was home we probably would have gone out, but yeah.  5 course dinner sounds much better than my dinner.

  • thanks everyone.

Yeah he usually doesn't talk for the first 30 mins or so of being home.  He has never been overly comforting when there has been an issue, and it normally doesn't bother me.  Plusalso I had downplayed my issue all week so he wouldn't be worried, so he probably doesn't quite get it.  i think the pain is just making me need some attention from him.

he is in the shower now, so no pillow throwing (that and they are sorta helping keep me mildly comfortable).

  • Girlie, things have gone a lot better the last 2 times I've watched her, so I think she's getting used to me, which is great. I'll be here the next 3 days as well, so hopefully by the end of the week, she'll officially know me and won't forget me.

Time to get started on the dinner and bedtime routines... be back a little later!

Aww Beachy :/ that would be really hard.

Really we are kind of foodies and it's an excuse to use the fine china we got (a course for each plate) and to use some of the new kitchen stuff we got. I think we'llmtry to use the china every month so that it actually get used.

    Hockey I'm sorry :/
  • Happy 1 month Megbo and happy 2 years Beachy!  We had Hamburger Helper and champagne for our 1 month so I'd say Meg's made me look bad too.

That's great Angel.  I'm sure by the end of the week she'll be totally taken with you.

  • I don't think I've ever done more than maybe like 3 courses.  We never really do fancy dinner unless we have people over.  And even then I don't think we really do fancy.  That sounds fun though.

  • I want to know what is on your 5 course menu megbo. That sounds like fun.
  • does bread count as a course?  if so I have made 2 course meals!  I am fancy schmancy!

Chalk me up as another that wants to know what megbo is making.
  • I am TOTALLY counting bread as a course. (We have a bread plate!)
    Everything will be homemade.

We will be having butter rolls, cucumbers on pea greens with homemade vinegretter topped with crasins, cream of mushroom soup, linguini with sweet red clam sauce and parsley, and finally, vanilla creme brulee topped with vanilla sugar and possibly blueberries.

H hit major traffic though so I just have to wait.

That dinner sounds amazing. It also doesn't help that I am hungry and I already ate my snack at work.

  • Haha Chrissy, I've been tempted to go ahead and dub myself 23.
  • Wow Meg!  I'm seriously impressed.

So I was just out smoking and a contractor that I've seen out there a few times asked what department I worked in.  When I told her she replied she was surprised because typically the smokers are the employees in the smallest pay range jobs.  Um really?

  • I want butter rolls in my belleh right now.

</div><div>Wow! That was rude and sort of stereotyping...

  • Evening! My co-worker is chatting my ear off. Half an hour until I'm heading home!

    Meg, your dinner sounds delicious.
  • Hi! I think I sprained my toe =( I'm sad.

But - WE GOT OUR BED!!! We will finally not be sleeping on a slowly deflating air mattress and my life will be a bajillion times happier. YAY!
  • Shan, I just tried one, it's good! I got it from the Joy of cooking.

    Kinda that's a great idea!

Chrissy, 25 sounds way better than 24! Happy Early bday :)

    Girlie that's so damn rude.

<div>Honest to god, I believe your bed will improve your quality of life times a million. Bed are important, guys.</div>
  • Happy 1 month to you too KS.

Yay for the new bed Lady!  How did you sprain your toe?  Moving the bed or jumping on it?  :)

Yeah, I was kinda speechless she said that.  Not only is she stereotyping but she's dead wrong.  I'd say about 75% of the people I see smoking regularly are in degreed positions.

  • That sounds so good Meg!  Puts my potential dinner of delivery pizza to shame, lol.

    Girlie--That is rude and judgmental.

LDY-  Yay bed!  FI and I got a new bed when we moved into this apartment, and it really did make life a bajillion times better.

LDY, congrats on the new bed!  A new bed is always awesome.  I'm sorry about your too though.

Girlie, that is just rude. I can't believe someone would say (or think) that.

Dang, Girlie, that contractor was VERY rude. Gheez. I don't even smoke but that remark was super judge-y and uncalled for. Makes me want to punch her in the face.

    Meg, your dinner sounds wonderful!

Hockey, feel better! Tell H he's being a tool and to be nice to you. I'm sure if the shoe was on the other foot, he'd be a freakin' needy mess. My mom always said,'There's nothing sicker than a sick man." So true.

I have literally slept ALL DAY, still in my PJs. This weekend was such fun, but exhausting.

ETA: LDY, new bed = yay! It's so worth it to get a good bed!

  • Meg- YUM! That sounds really good and impressive. All I did for H for our 1 month was have a water gun fight....now I feel sorry for my husband. lol :)

  • Hey guys!

I went shopping for my friends birthday gift today, and I can't wait to give it to her this weekend. I also got some new mascara from Ulta, which I love. AND I signed up for BeautyBox5, so I'm excited to get it in a few weeks, since I'm STILL on the waiting list for birchbox and myglam.

  • How did the big party go Wally?

Crash, I bet your H loved that!  I just might put that on my list of things to do with H.

  • Megbo is fancy. I feel accomplished if i manage to make something that didn't come out of box. I guess if J were home I would have real meals. But cooking is like torture to me. I would rather clean 100 porta potties. Angel i like going to PT because I always feel great after but I'm terrible about doing the exercises on my own. I need to get better at it.
