  • And off topic, but why not? My H has been driving to work for the last 1.5 hours...he works 15 minutes away from our apartment. My ass is staying firmly planted in my computer chair today.

  • I'm sheltered too because I didn't know a whippet was anything other than a dog.

You can whip it!  You can whip it!  Whip it....whip it good.

[QUOTE]Y'all must have gone to better schools then me. I'm pretty sure my classmates were doing whippets (like from the whipped cream can) by the time I got to high school.

I was homeschooled which led me to be super sheltered. I went to a real school for the first time when I was a sophomore in HS and my classmates started talking about STDs (the sex kind) and I just smiled and nodded my way through half the conversation before one of them realized I had no clue what an STD was.

  • From the other thread:

I've been engaged since June and am getting married in May. I have been lurking for a while and LOVE to pass some of my day with the E gals on TK!

I am still having a hard time keeping people straight, but I would love to spend 10hr drinking with Rachers- and Fish, if lunch with you means a giant drink I choose you!

...... that makes me sound like a drunk......
  • Hello I've been engaged since August 2010 and I'm finally getting married this November. I would love to have lunch with Emily because she has travelled so much and seems so outgoing.

  • Hmm, when I worked in a restaurant we had non-aerosol whipped cream. I wonder if that was on purpose.
  • Ditto Anna and LC, I worked in an ice cream shop and almost the entire staff did whippets with the whipped cream containers.  Not me, though.  I was also Sally sheltered and didn't even know such a thing existed.

  • At the last restaurant where I worked, I strolled into the walk-in to find the manager and the sous chef doing lines of coke off a baking sheet.

Megan, I never had Mr. K. I started homeschooling junior year.

OMG attitudes like this towards public ed bug me the eff out.  I'm so glad that FI's mom was a teacher, and that my mom is a school librarian, and we all see eye to eye and want our future offspring to be in public schools.

    CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!

    I love trivia.

Bonjour!  Je m'appelle MattsPenguin.  I'm an old married hag now.  I like music and tap dance and football.  Although college football is over, and left me with a bitter taste in my mouth.  We're going to a college basketball game tonight though.  It was my Christmas present to the hubby.  Guess what team we're seeing . . . CLEMSOOOOOON!  They better not Clemsooooon it up!

Oh yeah, and I have the cutest dog in the world who is also incredibly intelligent.  Some people think she's a cat, but she's really a dog.  Seriously, like a 50 lb dog.  She's just short with a long torso.  Like me.

I'd like to have lunch with Stacks.  And probably Kate#s, but that would be too easy of a pick.  I'm hoping to have lunch with some Boston area ladies in the near future, too!!  YAY BEANTOWN!

  • Hi,

No one did whippets at my school, they did heroin. There was a true life about my high school. People do whippets at the restaurant I work at though, like LC said.

Lunch would be with Eagles and LC. Rach too, but weve already met :)
