TK apparently ate the medals. I hope they come back tomorrow...I was getting excited about getting gold. :(

Right now I'm watching PS I Love You before I start dinner.

FI and I were super productive today. He cleaned the pool and I cleaned the house. Then we put some weed and feed out on the lawn.

  • I can't watch that movie without crying all the way through it.

I knew something was missing! I am trying to work on a paper right now. Spring break is over. Blah. I love Gerard.
  • I'm also watching PS I Love You before going to meet FI at the gym.

Once upon a time, there was a boy who loved a girl, and her laughter was a question he wanted to spend his whole life answering.
  • Well, if everyone else is watching it... haha I just turned to it and FI goes, "are we really watching this for the 19th time?"

I'm also writing a paper. It's not due until Wednesday so I'm getting a headstart. Go me.
  • Hi!  We just had dinner (pasta with shrimp, tomatoes and lemon).  Now we're watching 60 Minutes and I have a couple loads of laundry going.  I'm waiting for Mad Men to begin soonish.  :)
  • I'm bored at work 2 more hours to go but on the bright side I get the next two days off.

  • Hello!

YAY, Mica's back!  I am so glad you're back.  I had to ban two trolls while you were gone.  I don't know why they waited for you to leave, but...it was a hell of a week.

I just came home from a long-ass (six hour) bridal shower for my friend (I'm a BM in the wedding).  Had a mojito and a long bath, and I feel more human now.

Oh, and can I AW for a minute?  H and I bought a CAR yesterday!  It's really going to be more his car because he drives more and further than I do and the other car has a ton of mileage on it.  But I love it to pieces and we got a really good deal on it.  It was a good weekend, all in all.

  • Hi.. I'm here for a short time. I have to go to dinner at DH's place tonight.

    I have kind-of a vent.

Now my DH and his mom talk almost daily.  Always has. Not a big deal to me.

Today she tells DH "I'm coming to NOLA"

Now mind you my husband has lived in Boulder CO, Palm Springs, CA, San Diego CA, Gilroy CA, Turks and Caicos, BWI, St Thomas, USVI and now here.  That is 7 addresses and she has NEVER ONCE visited him.

When does she want to come you ask?

August 19.  Which is his sister's and long-term BF's birthday. They are pre-planning their engagement. His parents are also coming.  The whole nine-yards.

    Problem?

We are going to a wedding on Aug 18 in VIENNA.  AUSTRIA.

WTF?  DH has told her a billion times about the trip.

  • Hey Bay!  Yay about the car!

I was catching up on some of the drama of the week (that was quite the FFF).  And the complaint PMs.  There's nothing like coming home from vacation and finding a pile of mail, pages of emails, and TK drama waiting.  :P  I feel almost like I never left.

  • That sucks, Lynda :(  I'm sorry.  What incredibly sucky timing.  It's not exactly something you can skip because she's coming.

(I'm incredibly jealous that you're going to Austria though!)

    Thanks, Stephanie!

  • Where did the quote button go?
  • Damn Lynda. What terrible timing.
  • Damn it, another stupid IT glitch.  Okay, I'll complain again to ears that are tired of hearing.
  • I was wondering the same thing cew.  The "ignore cew" button is pretty visable.  Not that I would use it

[QUOTE]Hello.   6 hour bridal shower?  I'd fall asleep. Am I the only one that wants to see Titanic in theaters again? Yes? Ok.

  • Crap, Mica, there were complaints?  I tried to cover it all :(

I was away from my computer when JudgeJudy unleashed her bullshit on Chels.  I made it back to ban her, but I unfortunately missed most of it.  I felt pretty terrible that it escalated to that point.

Was the trip fun at least?

  • I am so nosey. I want to know what the complaints are.
  • Seriously.. My husband thinks it's weird I only talk to my mom once every 2-3 weeks.  Okay, I get it.  Buy you know what? We actually communicate. We remember what is going on.   If something big happens in between calls, we let each other know.

They talk EVERY SINGLE DAY, yet do not actually seem to remember anything.

  • I could never call my mom every day.  We'd have nothing to talk about.  Actually, we would.  She'd be asking me if my house was clean and dropping hints about grandchildren.

  • No one complained about you, Bay.  ;)  For some reason, with both you and Birdie, all the newbs come to me to complain.  I read through the drama, and I thought things were totally fine.  We cannot patrol every thread at all times, things happen.  And chelsea has thick skin.  I doubt a troll phased her much.

The trip was great.  I'm tanned again!  It's just hard being completely cut off from communication for a week, then coming back to everything.  My MIL is back in the hospital, there are a lot of panicked family members, and my staff didn't do a good job reassuring my patients that they could talk with other doctors, so I have a lot of angry or confused emails/messages to respond to.

Meh.  Did I mention that I have a tan and slept enough to cover most of the bags under my eyes?
  • It's so hard to come home from vacation. I planned the honeymoon to where we come home Sunday and Monday is Memorial Day so I'm off work and I'll have a day to recover.

  • I would probably have to hurt myself if my mother got me on the phone every day.

I get at least a few PMs every week from a newb asking me to delete a thread.  Or complaining about internet bullying.  Or complaining about TK IT erasing a whole important thread about something WR.  Usually specific posters are not named.
  • I think I would rather watch Titaic again at home. I don't need to see it in 3D.

I talk to my mom once a week and even then there is not much to talk about. Everyday sounds like a lot of nothing.

  • That's good planning, aleigh.  We had a few days between returning from our HM and restarting work too.  That was so nice.  I hate having to go back to work the day after I get back from a long trip.  The rush to unpack and then prep for another work week stresses me out again.
  • Eeek, Mica.  I hope she's okay :(

I got two complaining PMs this week from the same troll that I ended up eventually banning (not because of the PMs.  She was calling Special fat, among other things).  But that was it.  Until the end of the week, it was pretty quiet.  Thursday and Friday were rough.

And the one I banned because of what she said to Chelsea...that was pretty bad.  I have no idea why they all waited until you were gone to crawl out of the woodwork!
