Shower thank yous

I'm not sure how to address a couple thank yous.

I had my bridal shower last weekend.  There are a few people who went in on gifts together (i.e., my boss and her daughter showed up with a basket full of stuff, both names were put on the gift; my future in laws showed up with one gift and put all their names on it, etc.).  Do I make a thank you out to everyone individually, or do I send one thank you to one of the addresses with all of their names on it?

If they all live in the same house, I would think just one, but if they live in different houses, I would do more than one.

I would send each individual person a thank you note.  I also thanked the person for coming to the shower and told them how glad I was that they could attend. 

I guess if they're in the same house, you could get away with it, but I would really send each adult her own thank you note.
