I know you people are here. Let's talk about something that doesn't hurt my head.
Like...WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY!?
And give me a lighthearted book to read.
How was the weekend? I'll take anything, just let it make sense, please.

Re: Oh, hi.
My weekend was faboosh! Went out with some golf friends Friday, sat around and read all day yesterday, went to lucnch with Scott today and now just sitting around taking a break from my book!
OH! I and I just watched last week's bones episode. I love that show.

Its been an god weekend. My friend L came over on Friday and kept me company for a couple hours. My dad also came by and put a shelf in the cabinet on our new dresser for the baby. Yesterday my FIL came by and dropped off a gift from his mom for us to use for the baby.
I don't know of any good books. I really should start reading more but I'm not sure how much time I'm going to want to spend doing tha after Edmund is here.
-Went to brunch, had a monte cristo. I'm getting ready to put the last coat of paint on my awesome kitchen black board and spray paint some frames.
-Asking for Trouble - Elizabeth Young or anything by Sophie Kinsella or Emily Griffin.
-Great weekend! Lounged by the pool yesterday (93 degrees!) with a book and worked on some art projects...
Right now I am sitting around working on homework and watching 16 and pregnant.
This weekend I didn't do much because I broke out in hives the other day so I am pretty miserable. My wedding invitations will be going out tomorrow though!

Ciara, aren't you like...ready to pop any minute now?
Hives you say! allergies? I don't have allergies. I am thankful for this.

I haven't ever gotten them before. My parents thinks it is just stress. My mom used to break out in hives when she was stressed out.It is either that or a link to my RA... not sure.
Whatever it is really sucks though.

There are a whole bunch of girls on the April 2011 board that are trying castor oil and not getting anywhere other than the laxative side effects. I don't feel like going there.
Book, book, book. Definitely "The Art of War".
I'm just kidding! What kind of books do you like, Fish? I definitely recommend Emily Giffin for everything. Have you read the Shopaholic series? Those are really easy, fast reads.
I spent most of yesterday taking painkillers and resting. My sister and some of our friends came over last night for dinner and to hang out, because we were supposed to go to NY today. They went without me. It's going to be a hell of a week at work, and I'd rather not be feeling bad when I go in tomorrow. So I'm resting up some more. I'm going out in a bit to pick up some stuff from CVS, and H and I are going to have a low-key night in.
ETA: I haven't read any really lighthearted books lately. I just finished A Million Little Pieces today -- which is pretty much the OPPOSITE of lighthearted.
Books read in 2012: 21/50
Spowsie, Bones is like...the best show on TV. It's crime solving police, forensic stuff with some love stories worked in. WHATS NOT TO LIKE?!
Posted by crfische
Bones is the best show ever. I wish they'd just get together, damnit.
Fishy, I need another good book to read.
This weekend has been a relaxing, catch up on things to be done weekend. H and I both caught a cold or something which sucks.
Last night we went to dinner, got some yummy frozen yogurt and came back and watched the new HP on dvd. Then I fell asleep.
I had a fun weekend. Yesterday I spent the day with my nieces & nephews at my sisters annual Easter Egg hunt.
Today I hit the JC Penny friends & family sale and saved about $200. I love sales!
Right now I'm playing on the laptop watching the Phillies game.
I haven't had much time for reading lately, but yesterday my Aunt who works at Simon & Shuster gave me How I planned your wedding by Susan Wiggs. Hopefully I can find some time this week to start reading it. I have a bunch of appointments set up the next 2 weeks. Meeting with florist, photograhers, videographers. Tomorrow I'm going to another bridal show. I'm spending the rest of the day relaxing!
Enjoy what's left of your weekend.

A Million Little Pieces
I'm in the middle of The Hour I First Believed
Snowflower and the Secret Fan
Shopgirl
Two Kisses for Maddy -- WHICH EVERYONE SHOULD READ.
And the two I finished yesterday night and this morning are "If I Stay" and the sequel "Where She Went." I LOVED THEM.
I'm in the middle of reading Sisters in Sanity today, and I just downloaded the Bang Bang Club, but man, all the books I've read are emotionally exhausting lately.

Tomorrow is Marathon Monday, but I'm still going to work. I was disappointed to see no roads on my route to work are blocked off! The weekend has been nice and low key, other than my flat tire yesterday morning on the way to volunteer at this teen empowerment thing. Oh well. Went to a party last night and today have hung out on the couch
I also love Bill Bryson, so I'll recommend The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid. I also love everything David Sedaris writes, so that would be my first choice for you. Dress your Family in Corduroy and Denim is probably the funniest thing I've ever read!
My Married Bio
Go get Chinese food. I know so many people who went into labor the day after having Chinese for dinner.
Not sure if it's just a coincidence but it's worth a try!
