That's great.  The poor guy, his whole career was pretty much relegated to that one mistake.

I can get behind this.  I realized that from this morning at 8 AM until Thursday night at 8 PM, I have zero free time, between school, work, visiting family, and homework.
Button - I do love me some Anchorman. We saw Ted on Friday and they had a preview for the 2nd one. I can't wait.
    Posted by rachers1017
I am so looking forward to seeing Ted- I think we are going this weekend.  I am really excited for Anchorman 2, I just hope it doesnt suck.  I have so many high hopes for it and really dont want to find myself in a glass case of emotions in the event it blows.

I'm also an Old School fan, but that may be because I love Vince Vaughn and think he is a hottie.

  • Morning, I'm exhausted and my jaw aches. I need to find my mouth guard thingy.

I couldn't even get through Bridesmaids, I didn't think it was funny at all. It's possible it got funnier further in, but I had no desire to finish it.

  • So we went to the Red Sox / Yankees game last night when some friends of ours chose to go to see Bernadette Peters instead.  They decided to give us these 6th row behind the plate tickets as a going away present.  It was AH-MAZING!!  I kept saying hi to Derek Jeter while he was on deck.  If only the Red Sox had won, it would have been better.  Also, the game didn't start until 8pm (I'm sure due to the fact that it was on ESPN), so we didn't get home until 1am.  Kinda dragging butt today.

    The bad man punted Baxter!

Vince Vaughn is also hilarious. Even though the premise for The Watch sounds really stupid, I still want to see it mainly for the reason that VInce hasn't failed me yet in being funny.

Yeah, that movie seems kind of lame but Vince does have the only funny line in the whole trailer...so it might be worth watching just for him.

I just need to vent about what will be going on at work.

About three months ago, I applied and interviewed and made it through two parts to move up at work.  I didn't get it.  Not the end of the world.  I took my review and critique and my boss said it is simple things I could address quickly and there is no reason I shouldn't move up quickly (6 months.) I was a bit frustrated because some of the critique didn't make sense since the last person to hold the position hadn't had to do them but I figured they had just changed the position a bit. Fast forward.  My boss tells me that the VP met a girl just out of college at a conference/job fair and the VP really liked this girl.  VP made my boss interview girl for job I didn't get.  Supposedly my boss couldn't give her the job because she had no experience in this field.  Now I am training this girl, starting today, to do my level job.

I am trying really hard not to hold anything against this girl going in.  She is just out of college and has no real work experience.  I have a BA and MA related to my field and 2 years  work experience specific to my field, 5 years work experience related to my field.  Also, I have 2 years with this company.

Again, just need to vent because it is a bit embarrassing to be so over qualified and have someone just out of college almost get a job I have worked 2 years to even apply for.  Heck.  They might hand it to her in a few months after I train her.

My boss already told me I will probably have to train the person who gets hired for the job I applied for.

My biggest dream is that H, who just went back to work after 2 years, gets a permanent job and when they tell me she will get that job, I can give my two weeks.

ETA: Sorry if I used too many pronouns or was too vague.  I just don't want to in any way possibly identify myself.

  • But in the Break-Up the could have gotten back together at the end.  You never know.  It's not like either one of them was with other people.

I happen to think that Bridesmaids was hysterical.  The best scenes are the dress shop (especially when Maya Rudolph goes into the street) and when Kristin Wiig flips out ont he plane.  Those crack me up!

Last season was stupid, but we kept on keeping on and watched the whole thing.  Last week was the first episode of this season and I thought it was much better than last season.  I will say you might want to get a quick catch-up on what happened in the last season because it picks up in the exact place it left off. I'm actually looking forward to watching Episode 2 tonight.

  • Hey everyone!

    I need help...

I just heard a song and I know it is a movie, but I can't remember what movie..and it is driving me nuts.

The song is Puttin' on the Ritz....the version is by Taco...and I am pretty sure the movie is an 80s movie, and I can pretty much picture people trying on different clothes in the scene but I can't remember it.

    halp!

  • Good morning!

The Break-Up is actually a movie I like, and I think it's because they didn't get back together. And I love the way that Vince Vaugh just runs his mouth the whole time.

Wedding Crashers is definitely a funny movie. I laughed SO hard when I saw it in theaters.

The Other Guys...notsomuch. I fell asleep in the theatre and was annoyed that the people I was with actually liked it. I was so ready to leave.
