Good morning!

How are you? My day started off interesting. I missed my exit, took the next one, went the wrong way and ended up late. But I did see a cute house for rent, so I'm going to call about that. More rain in the forecast today...yay...

  • Yum, that sounds good! I woke up extra early this morning and couldn't stop thinking about work. Our Financials were announced this morning and I have to distribute them. I know D-bag coworker is going to have an issue with that so I have to mentally prepare for battle.

  • Good morning!  I am slowly recovering from my short weekend away that turned into an overnighter in the DCA airport on Sunday night.  I flew to NC to be with my family for Easter and the storms in DC Sunday night caused my flight to get diverted to Richmond for a few hours, which then caused me to miss my other two connections.  Flights were delayed again yesterday morning.  I was supposed to get home Sunday night around 11:30 and I got home at 12:45 yesterday afternoon.  At least I feel rested enough to actually go to work today.

Good morning. Today is my last day of class for the semester and then we have exams next week. I'm going to spend my whole 3-hour class studying for my chemistry exam that's at 11. I also have my final exam in chem Friday because my teacher sucks.

    Edit: it's early.
  • Good Morning.  I called in :::cough, cough:::: sick today.  I just needed a break.  All that work I had to do yesterday with limited internet access wore me out.  :)  Just kidding.  Actually I'm getting Jocelyn's spring pictures done this afternoon and decided I'd call in this morning so I could go to the gym.
  • I ran a redlight this morning. That is all I got. There was no traffic coming and the two trucks ahead of me were turning left on red and for some horrible reason I just followed their lead. Still not sure wtf I was doing. I flame myself.

  • LTB, yesterday, he was actually COLD!!! He got super sick last week and seems to have changed drastically. He cut out smoking, drinking, caffeine and all the medicines he was on. He's a grouchy f*ck right now, but he seems healthier. I'm guessing the doctor really got onto him about his blood pressure.

  • The list of what's gone wrong:

    -  Some chick in another department is all over my butt every single time I have her do a sendout to our partners, nitpicking the corrections, and telling me I'm wrong when I correct her back.

    - I woke up late today because my alarm clock was going off silently for some fucking reason.

    - I forgot my phone when I left for work, and had to run back because I am going to be out of the house until very late tonight and needed it with me.

    - I've been trying to get my bank card to work for about a month now, and the internet service isn't working on my computer.  So I called to see if I could activate the card so I can use it (I GOT PAID!! WOOT!) Nope!  I haev to leave work early to go down to the fucketing fucking bank.

    - tonight is our monthly meeting and I am going to be wiped out.  BLAH.
  • Good morning!

I'm feeling a lot better today.  Took the last two hours off work because I felt so craptastic, both physically and emotionally.  H came home and we had it out about this past weekend, and I think we're on the same page and it's pretty much over now, thank God.  I'm feeling better about it, in any case.

It's almost raining here, unfortunately, and it's one of those days where you can't tell which way the temperature is going to go.  I hope it's not going to be rainy and muggy.

Hi all.  I'm still super tired. I feel like I can't catch up on sleep.

    SnipMo-- What's wrong?

Stack I'm jealous that you called in.  I should have done that.

ETA:  Snip- Sorry you're having a rough day. :(

  • Good morning!  Snippy, that sounds like a craptastic day.  That sucks.  In lighter news, Shea found a sweet dresser outside one of the condos his company works for. Score!  It only needs a few minor repairs, but it matches the bedroom furniture perfectly.

  • Aww, I'm sorry Snips. I'm sure you'll put weird CW in her place. We all know you know your grammar!

Bay, did he put up any excuses?

  • LVB: No.  He was upset because he felt like he hadn't done anything wrong -- because we had agreed he could be gone the whole weekend and I would stay with his parents.  Problem is -- he just ASSUMED that they knew that I would be there for two straight days without him or the car.  He never told them.  Which is what really made it difficult, because instead of being happy to see me, they more viewed me as an unexpected houseguest.  Which made all the difference, really.  I don't mind being at my ILs when they expect me and they're happy to see me.  I DO mind being there when I can tell that they have other things to do and I'm just a burden on them.

He has acknowledged that it was a huge mistake.  I think we're good now.

  • Good Morning!

This morning I almost backed off the driveway at my office and into a tree.  Apparently my auto back up (aka, myself from doing it everyday for so long) wasn't very sharp this morning and iI overshot my regular spot by 4 feet.  Oh well.  It's raining, so I'm closer to the door this way.

Tomorrow my mom and I are hitting the city to go MOB dress shopping.  She's so excited.  I love seeing my mom get excited.

Yesterday we passed the 2 month mark.  We are officially in the 1 month +'s.  Excuse me whilst I hyperventilate.

  • Hi guys. ::HUGS:: for Snippy. Rosie, I hate being behind trucks and/or SUVs because I can't see what's going on and sometimes they block out traffic lights. It's entirely possible I ran a red light at Pennsylvania Avenue last night because there was this huge tour bus blocking the traffic light and I don't know if it was red or green. There was still traffic coming the other way, so I *think* it was green.

On my way to work this morning there was a fender bender right next to me. This is the second time this has happened in a few months. I hear the squealing tires, the crunch of metal and I see somebody coming in my direction and just pray they don't run into me. This time they missed me by a few inches.
  • Yay, Habs!  That is such an exciting (and busy) time.  You are getting so close!

  • ugh panda - there''s nothing worse than that sound getting your heart pumping in the morning.  A few weeks ago I was stopped at a red light that had just turned green and a truck was flying up behind me and switched lanes at the last second - revealing ME to the car flying behind him who noticed I was dead stopped.  I braced myself for the worst I just knew I was going to get it up the a$$ hardcore, but somehow he just missed me and flew up the edge of the road and into the intersection where he cut someone off and continued on his merry little way.  Idiot.  I was shaking so bad.
  • Does anyone know anything about private student loans? My school won't pay for my summer classes so I have to find an alternative. I can't figure out which loan will be better.

I know Bay!  It's crazy.  Sometimes I feel like there is nothing to do, and then sometimes I get stupid overwhelmed.

  • Fezz, last summer I backed into a post in the parking garage, which used up our one "freebie" accident on our insurance for three years. I'm terrified someone will run into me before the time resets and our rates will go through the roof.

  • Woah, just caught up on the clusterfuck from last night. Lame.

I wouldn't have even noticed him coming up behind me. Driver fail.

  • I've taken it up the pooper on a few occassions so I notice cars coming up from behind.  It scares the crap out of me.
  • Morning.

I'm actually happy about today only because it's not Monday. I had a headache all day yesterday and I couldn't even think straight, which is why I was not around these parts.

The AC at our townhouse is broken and it was 80 degrees inside this morning when I woke up. I feel like a horrible pet parent right now because I know my animals are hot and I can't do anything about it. I just hope the landlords get it fixed today. Moving day cannot come soon enough because we really hate this place.

Reminds me of my accident from two weekends ago. Although, the girl was racing her boyfriend and wasn't looking ahead of her, and instead of rear-ending me, swerved, sped up and tried to pass me. And then hit me in the front of my car. Awesome. People are awesome.
