A night thread would be cool...

Re: A night thread would be cool...

  • Weirdos, Fish. ;)

Thanks Musu! I hated my hair. HATED. My MUA was an hour and a half late and so they rushed through my hair (at that point, I just wanted to GTFO and head to the church). Half of the curls fell during the Mass. Rageface.
  • Aw oh no Nates! Well it looks great in that photo! :)

Anna, I almost went into a blind rage after hearing Newt's ridiculous spewage about poor kids being janitors. I just. I can't.

<div>That's why I'm watching now.  They're in SC (Charleston on Thursday!) and I realized most of my political knowledge is woefully lacking.</div>

okay, okay..  I don't need to eat all of them.  I could send a Cadbury if I hadn't lost your address
  • Yeah, Newt's whole plan about that was just silly.

TR, have you registered to vote there and stuff? I still haven't managed to register here and I've been here for three years. Embarassed I voted absentee in Florida.
  • Evening all, relaxing on the couch, feels so good.  We had leftover pizza.  We met with the officiant for the wedding tonight.  Check.
  • Yep, they just asked when I got my SC license if I wanted to register, I said yes and they sent me a registration card.  And our polling place is the school right down the street on our way out to the main road so...no excuses.

  • I agree, Sara. I hate the summer influx of ads upon ads slamming the other candidate.

I also hate how this time of year means phone calls from H&R block and seeing tax return ads every 5 seconds.

You know what sucks? Where I live I get ads from multiple districts in VA, MD, and WV. Most of the people I couldn't vote for if I wanted to. This was even worse when I lived in DC proper because DC residents can't vote for ANYTHING besides president.

Huh. I didn't think I knew that about DC residents, though I guess it kind of makes sense. That does really suck.

I hear you. We see ads for NY, CT, PA and, obviously, NJ. Limit your audience a tad, advertisers/cable/whoever.

Well, they can vote for city councilman and mayor and stuff, but since the district is so heavily Democrat the primary is the only thing that matters. Republicans don't even bother to run for DC positions in the general. So basically you can only vote for minor offices, and only if you're registered D.
  • DC isn't a state so they don't have representatives or senators, federal or otherwise. So nothing to vote for.
  • TR -- I try to watch/listen to one conservative and one liberal response to the debates.
  • PM or FB?
I'll probably go to the post office tomorrow unless it snows.  I hate the snow unless it's a blizzard

Nates. What is your skin care regimen? How old are you? Answer my questions. You have pale skin in very good condition. I need to know what you're doing. My pale skin is all "your mom told you this would happen if you kept smoking, haha!" right now.
  • Aw, OOT! You don't really have to send me anything! :) I mean, if you want my address again, you can have it, but you don't need to send me your New Zealand Chocolate. ♥

    Thanks!

Part of me wants to make a vulgar joke, just because, but I will answer seriously. I'm 29. TBH, I do nothing to my skin. It tends to range from oily to dry, so in the winter I usually slap on some Oil of Olay moisturizer and when it gets oily-feeling I wash it with Olay dual action cleanser (it's one of those ones with microbeads, but light ones, not the extreme makeover apricot scrub death beads).

I don't tan--not intentionally, but just I don't get out for long periods in the sun, so I'm sure that helps. And I quit smoking. But other than that, it is what it is.

ETA: And I use Sephora's mineral powder and face set. I really like it and feel like it's lightweight coverage and doesn't clog pores. It's my favorite makeup in a long time.

<div>Here's my political naivete showing:  I didn't think about elections other than the primaries and the main presidential election.  I thought you were saying they couldn't vote in the primaries for the candidates and that really confused me.</div>

  • Okay, so I'm totally lame and going to check out here. I have 2 daughters who want to cuddle before I send them to bed. At 13 and 10, I know those days are numbered. G'night, all.
  • I can't vote in primaries because I'm registereed independent.
  • Hello and good evening! We just got new furniture: antique dining table and a new couch. It's nice in our apartment now, but my legs and feet kill. I am making kale chips for a snack right now, I can't wait to eat them all.
