My mom practiced law for a few years. Now she teaches high school English. I have to give her credit for doing what she loves, but damn. That's a lot of effort, money and time spent on law school to leave it behind.

Meg I'm in my 2L year, and it wasn't as scary as last year, but still a lot of work. This is my last semester where I have a required class to graduate though, which is nice.

That is one of my reasons why I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to become a SAHM. Even if J made enough money one day (which with his career it is possible), I don't know if I could justify letting him pay off all of my loans too and just not using all that work that I put in.

if I didn't have to work I would run out of the hospital so fast.  screw the money I spent on education.  I just don't like to be told what to do.  I want to run my own vintage consignment/resale shop

It's hard for me knowing that even though I am contributing, I'm contributing a little less than half of what Brenden is. Erin -- Right now I'm mostly interested in animal law, children's rights, and entertainment law.

Ahhh Mel gotcha.  I think MK is going back to Charleston or something.  Eagles is still free to at least visit MA though....

MuSu sometimes I think I'd rather be a SAHM but I'm with you, it would seem like a waste (and my schooling isn't anywhere near how much law school is).  We could do it, but we'd be way more comfortable if I worked. So soon enough, hi-ho hi-ho.

I have zero desire to be a SAHM/SAHW. I enjoy working. It's fulfilling and I love the company I work for and my office mate. 

Sometimes I hope my H wants to be a SAHD. That would rock.

YES!!!  Come up here!  I know I'll be there in the summer but that's far too long.  My life will be much less crazy in March.

oh when i get my new schedule i will check it out i seem to be off every other friday and every other monday.  so a weekend trip could be a definite possibility!  i haven't been up to MN since i was in high school for a volleyball tournamnet.
