They have dueling pianos at the Syndicate . . . sounds like fun!  Was the crowd old?  Or just really smokey?  (That's one thing that I now dislike about going out in Newport)
  • I have insomnia because I'm trying to get the wedding related crap that I'd normally do in two weeks done in 3 days.  Going out of town this next week for wedding/job interview/time with future in-laws, but must get invitations addressed and mailed this week.  My to do list never seems to shrink.

Also, this person is bothering me, and I'm wondering if she's insane:

yes, yes, yes.  there were a few girls there that got up on the stage and danced with us, though.  I was so drunk I didn't care.  I'm still feeling it today!

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one.
  • This isn't really a whine/vent or rant, but I'm really really really tired because of it and napped at my deskt through lunch.

Last night at 1am I woke up and went to the bathroom.  It was raining.  I don't know why, but I was convinced it was Saturday night/Sunday morning so I went out to watch it rain in the living room.  Then I realized that it was really Monday morning and I should get to bed.  So I went back to bed.

And dreamt that I had been fired.  Then I had to go home and H(erbert) was having a party and I had to kick everyone out because they were all happy and I was pissed that I'd been fired and I didn't want to party.

    I am a party pooper.

Yea, see I would, but then theres this little voice telling me to wait last minute because I'm still waiting for my evaluation to be done (from April 20th) so that I can get my raise. I guess it doesn't really matter because it will be pro-rated but still! Plus I'm a receptionist so its not that difficult to do my job.

  • Buddy was just told today (and I was told shortly after) that we have until COB tomorrow to come up with a list of 8 state side bases, in order of preference, that we would be okay with moving to. By the end of the year, most likely.

I don't know if that is a complaint or a vent or even if it's a good thing yet, so file this one under miscellaneous.

  • Since June 1st, I have now e-mailed the wedding room block coordinator five times, called and left voicemails three times, and had the person at the front desk deliver messages to her personally asking her to call me. It's now been almost two months, and I'm pissed.

I'm now going to call the manager. This sh!t is about to get real. In a reasonable, polite way, of course.

[QUOTE]We're supposed to leave for our honeymoon in two weeks, and I still don't have my passport.  I provided them with my expired passport as ID when I applied, and four weeks later they sent me a letter in the mail saying that they also needed my birth certificate.  Apparently, they had given me my previous passport without "sufficient proof of citizenship."  Well to get the previous passport, I gave them my birth certificate.  WTF?  If they weren't sure about my citizenship, why did they give me a passport in the first place?

Call your senator.  They have people who all they do is help with passports.  I got mine in 5 days after my senator got involved and that is after driving to Houston and going to the office personally trying to prove I am a US citizen.  Apparently my birth certificate, school record, SS card, and certified letter form the midwife who delivered me was not enough.  Being born at home has its downfalls.

I am annoyed with my sore throat about 2 weeks from the wedding date.  I hope it is not a sign I am getting sick and that it just goes away tomorrow when I wake up.

If you happen to suffer from allergies and/or have had an ear ache or sinus congestion recently, try taking anything with pseudoephedrine, preferrably the new kind by Sudafed that is 250mg with Naproxen (Aleve). The psued. helps drainage and the naproxen helps swelling that might occur in your nose/throat.

I had a sore throat right before a big 4th of July weekend I was going to and found that it had been a result of allergy drainage. I took the 250mg twice a day for a few days and felt a LOT better. Not to be gross, but sometimes congestion that you have in your ears/nose drains into your throat/glands/whatever and builds up, causing a sore throat. I've found this to be the case with a lot of my sore throats that I used to associate with a virus. My pharm friend told me this suggestion.

    It's worth a shot! :)
  •  I hate the fat Buffarilla I was working with in who thinks I am sleeping with her son-in-law. We are just friends you Bitch. Just because you to sleep with every thing with a third leg does not mean I do. I have a Fiancé. Yes I have friends who are male that is all they are.  I can not stand people who bring their brats to the nail saloon. No body wants your hyper active brat screaming and hollering running round bumping in to the techs. Leave the little pest at home or don’t come in. Oh and nobody thinks they are cute. The little girls who are their with mom or dad getting nails done are cute. You know they sell leashes for kids. People at work who want you to volunteer with their groups and say it will be good for you. I have groups I donate my time. Will it be good for me if I throw a stapler at your head? I don’t want to go to fun raisers for the United Way. I don’t like who they put fair share on the form not everyone can afford to do so. It sucks when the company is trying to have 100% participation.

    Dam now I feel better
  • I am so over my mother calling me every 10 minutes with the weather for Saturday.  I have told her that we are not making a decision yet, we don't have to make one until Saturday morning.  Stop telling me about the weather or we will have the ceremony outside even if it is 115 degrees!!!  Yes, I really did say that to her!
