Oh There You Are!

  • Starry, some people can see one group of threads and other people see something totally different.

JL, that's awesome. That's basically what I do too until the day before it's due and suddenly I complete the entire asignment in 1-3 hours.
  • I just can't get into those kinds of shows.
  • I've been watching Law & Order SVU reruns all day. I have a really exciting life.

  • My dinner was so yummy. But it's always more fun when there is someone else around to tell you how good it is.
  • Holly - that seriously sucks. And those sound like the ingredients for a yummy meal.
  • All I know is that we're having steak of some kind for dinner since that's what I have thawed out.  No idea what I'm going to do with though.
  • HI everyone!
I'm watching Dance Moms and just got done painting my toe nails.

When we bought the house, I was determined (and kind of still am) That I will never buy another house again...but I know that if we have more than 2 kids it's going to be too small. I think even with two kids, it would be tight. We both decided we want to be here for at least 10 years.

I get leftover honey garlic chicken stir fry.  Yum.

Holly, that sucks about the cars. Does the shop have any idea why his check engine light is still on?

  • Crash - H and I have that goal for when we buy a house. Something we can live in for a long time.
  • I look forward to being able to buy a new house. FI's house is nice enough for a first home, but after living here there are things that are lacking.

We had only been dating a few months when he started looking at houses. I didn't want to give too much input since I didn't know where we would end up. There is this one subdivision we found with acre lots that I fell in love with but that were a little above what he wanted to spend. I still think about moving to them eventually..

I think I heard somewhere that usually to get a good ROI on a house you should stay for 5 years, but idk how much truth there is to that.

Holly, that's annoying. I just don't how understand how they didn't see the check engine light was still on.  This is why I dislike cars (besides the whole driving aspect).  If I could get away with not driving, I would.  Sadly, the midwest is not cut out for that.

<div>The problem with England is that there is such limited space. Larger houses are VERY expensive. For us to have a house we could live in forever it would need to be at least 4 bedrooms (master bedroom, 1 bedroom for each kid, H's office). Ideally 5 bedrooms so I can have a guest room. </div><div>
</div><div>Although we're still not 100% sure if we would want 1 or 2 kids, so there's that. </div>
  • Girlie, I don't think they're worried about the people so much as their laptops-they don' thave desktops at all, and none of the servers are in that building. :)
    Ugh to your company though.
I don' think the universes have come back together-someone said something about a dermatologist thread, and also something about dogs and PPDs, and I'll I've got are TY questions.

  • Erin, Barrel congrats on the houses-I hope everything goes smoothly. I don't love this house, but I like it well enough, and once we redecorate it'll be better.

  • Poke, are they still that expensive in the countryside?
  • H has been living in our (originally his) house for about 10 years now I think.  I'd love to move back into town (we're in a sleeper community) but it can wait.

  • Aryn - they're actually not too expensive somewhere like Llandudno in Wales, but H doesn't want to go somewhere too far away from MIL and BIL. And there are so many good things about the area he lives in. He technically lives in the country - but his idea of country and my idea of country are a little different.
  • Sleeper community? Does that mean it's just boring or that everyone commutes?
  • Heyo!  Today was better than yesterday :)  I'm crazy curious about Calypso's post about parents getting records of children's counseling session.

  • Poke - What are your different ideas of country?

  • Damnit. I asked H to go to the store before work and get toothpaste, mouthwash, and toilet paper. He came back with toothpaste. GRRRR.  We are on our LAST ROLL here people.
  • Hi!  I've decided I won Tuesday.  I  worked 4 hours, went to the gym and walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes (at 3.5 mph, 1% incline), did a few reps with dumbells for the upper body, stretched, ran the vacuum, and I'm making dinner.  BOOM!

    What else is going on?

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Oh There You Are! : H did this the other day.  He forgot my pop tarts.  I had to go buy hearing aid batteries anyways but STILL. <strong>Do you buy the big packages of TP?  We do that with TP and paper towels.</strong>

</div><div>Yes. I even had it on my list from when I went shopping last week but I forgot. So, I guess I'll haul my ass over to the store.

  • You've been much more productive than I have been today, Loopy.
  • Me too.
Girlie, we do too, and I get tired of it, since I can't drive anymore. The busses run nowhere near here. Also no really good restaurants out this way-I'm in the far southeast valley though.
BTW, what venue did you use? We're still shopping.

  • Petal - my idea of a country town is a kind of place with houses on large plots of land with a few subdivisions sprinkled here and there. There is about one of everything you need, maybe two, but most "big" places are a bit of a drive away. He currently considers himself to live in a country town, although absolutley everything is in walking distance and there are no large farms anywhere nearby.

I'm working on showing examples from google maps : p
