[QUOTE]Petal - my idea of a country town is a kind of place with houses on large plots of land with a few subdivisions sprinkled here and there. There is about one of everything you need, maybe two, but most "big" places are a bit of a drive away. He currently considers himself to live in a country town, although absolutley everything is in walking distance and there are no large farms anywhere nearby. I'm working on showing examples from google maps : p

If you can walk to everything, you are definitely not in the country. I feel like we live in the country but I know most would disagree. We can't walk to anything though.

I feel sort of ashamed of myself and my lethargy after Loopy's day.

• Barrell - this is the most I have done in weeks.

We used to buy the huge bundles of TP & paper towels from Sam's Club, but now I have no where to store that much stuff, so I buy 9 TP's at a time (mega rolls :)) at a regular store instead. And usually a 2 pack of paper towels.
• Yeah, Loopy wins.

• I do the bulk paper towel/toilet paper thing. It's just cheaper, and I don't have to buy it as often. I'm also super classy and just have the large pack of TP on the floor by the toilet in the bathroom.

Anyways, here are the google map images of where I live and where H lives:

[QUOTE]Me too. Girlie, we do too, and I get tired of it, since I can't drive anymore. The busses run nowhere near here. Also no really good restaurants out this way-I'm in the far southeast valley though. BTW, what venue did you use? We're still shopping.

You too what? I swear, half the time I don't know who you're talking to or what you're talking about because you don't quote. Ha.

• Yeah poke, your H definitely does NOT live in the country, hah. I do, but I live "in town". Which means I can theoretically walk to things but "things" just means a grocery store and maybe a pizza place or gas station. Not like, Costco or Target or anything.

• Haha Poke, I love your visual aid. That's a huge difference.

I just had an awesome dinner and now I want dessert but I don't keep dessert stuff in my house because I don't crave it often. I am strongly considering going to DQ or something even though I know my tummy will be angry about it.
• Go for it, Aryn (says the girl who ate pizza and cookie cake).

I agree that the visual aid really shows the difference..

• yes, much better today, Loops! It was hotter than shiiit though, and that sucked.

• Oh okay Petal. You talked me into it. I'll be back shortly.
• I have ice cream in my freezer. It's a staple around here. :).
• Ha, I like visual aids. And it just makes that that much more amusing for people to actually see the difference. When they moved there MIL actually said she was looking forward to "moving to the sticks"

I usually have ice cream around. Mmm.
• MuSu - you still here? Lili started a thread on the mod board asking for suggestions/complaints about TK Mobile and in general if you want to go weigh in.

We always keep ice cream in the freezer too. However, my H's new obsession is Italian Ice.

• Thanks Loops, I'm still here! I thought there would be BB tonight so I'm bummin that there isn't. Instead I'm watching Dance Moms and its hilarious because Willow is entranced by it.

Speaking of desserts, I just took out a fresh batch of brownies.

There is a local carinval going on and my H asked earlier if I wanted to go, I said no it's way too hot. Well of course now I want a flipping funnal cake and I'm afraid if we go now it will be closed.. Fail.

• So J went to Chicago for a new business venture with his cousin. He will probably be going back and forth a lot in the next month. I am thinking of going there with him at least once. My only reason? To hopefully GTG with some knotties, lol.
image
• Musu - that's a very good reason.

Heb - why not just make some yourself? It's so easy.

Poke- I do that sometimes. I guess It's just the nostalgia of it. I've been going to this carinval since I was little, but the 5 years i've been with my H we've never gone.

• J, I don't quote because the first two times I did it, TK ate my posts. I haven't had another post eaten since. I will try again though. All that was directed to Girlie.
Heb,yum.
MuSu, that's a perfectly good reason.

I'm contemplating a small bowl of ice cream now. Jerks. ;)

• Heb - as soon as I got to the word carnival I went "ooh... funnel cake". :)
• I don't keep ice cream around because then I'll just munch on it just because it's there. I know I have a true craving if I'm willing to get dressed (okay, I put a bra on under my pjs), get Sasha in the car, and drive all the way to get it.
• I just wanna stay home tomorrow and cuddle my puppies all day. Silly responsibilities.
