agreed on lalaweddingdiva Habs.  Where is she posting today?

Yesterday she said that the name on the etiquette board needs to be changed to bully board.

I read a great deal of fluff fiction. I love crime novels. I'd say about two-thirds of the books in my collection involve someone being murdered. I own a whole series devoted to murder and cookies.

That being said, the typical blockbuster bestseller is usually not something I remember for more than a few days or feel enriched by.

  • Ski - Bachelorette party a few above this.

I love fluff books.  I like getting lost in a totally mindless chick-lit read, like the shopaholic series and the like, but I also am a huge John Grisham fan and David Baldacci and love everything by them, so I'm a bit wandering in my taste for books.  However, I refuse to read twilight, but loved the help, HG, and WFE.

Agreed. There's also something about your sig/icon that grates me. Having your engagement ring plastered in several photos on your sig/icon just screams "Look at how awesome my e-ring is. It's so much better than yours." That's probably not your intention but that's how it comes across.

  • DNB, I think the basics mostly revolve around common sense and a general idea that there's a bigger world out there. I don't think everyone who doesn't know everything I do is an idiot.

For instance, my BIL lacks all common sense. He wants to turn his garage into a "man cave" and add hardwood floors, a fridge, a bar, a giant tv, heat and an air conditioner. The garage is slightly below grade, has flooding problems, is not insulated and doesn't have enough power running to it to support all the electronic stuff he wants. A reasonable, smart person would take that into consideration and either scrap the plan altogether, reduce expectations or make plans to raise the grade, run a new power line, insulate it, etc.

<div>Really?  Do you also think that when people have pics of their FI/H in their sig they are saying "my FI/H is so much hotter or better than yours?"  I think that's a dumb thing to infer from a sig, and definitely not how it comes across to everyone.</div>
    imageBabyFruit Ticker
  • I never said it came across that way to everyone. Just speaking for myself there. I can't think of anyone of the top of my head who has 3-4 pictures of their SO in their sig. It's the multiples of it that get to me.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: FFF : It's not my intention--I love my ring, but it's definitely not better than most people's rings on here. I figured I'd put E pics in those spots eventually, but we didn't do them yet. I should probably change it anyway, since there's something Xmas related on it.

  • Ring sigs are NMS. I'm not going to beat up on you about it, but they just don't appeal to me. I feel the same way about an entire album devoted to ring shots on FB.

  • I think your ring is really pretty, but I didn't get that vibe from your sig. Midge, I think that is really dumb. IIRC, when you started posting here didn't you do silly sig challenges and stuff? So basically all things "Look how awesome I am!" And your sig is with some guy (don't know who he is) but I am assuming he is someone important? Is that not you saying "Look at my sig how cool we are!"

Even though I'm the one that inferred, I agree. Do what you want with your sig. I'm not the sig police.

Yes I did do those because I posted more on my monthly more than anywhere else. I got bored/annoyed with having the same kind of picture in my sig as everyone else so I stopped doing them. Just started doing what I wanted.

It's Marty Brennaman and I'm just excited for baseball season to start.
