Re: Bride and Groom and Head Count

  • I wish I had the time to go looking through 3 year old posts, there's probably some awesome threads back then. But alas I have a life.

@Kate61487 - I had the same thought when I started reading through this.  I had a "hey, everybody's back moment", then I was hit with the reality of 3 yo thread.

@MuppetFan - I haven't heard/seen anybody use that phrase in ages.  I picked that up from one of my brothers, no lie, 20 years ago.

  • @StageManager14 - I loved your post, but I love just about anything SW related.

I didn't really think that there were 'brides' or people like you girls out there, who were so high on themselves.  I mean how pathetic is it to still be on this site and responding to peoples questions when you're already married, how sad for you.
If these ladies didn't answer questions on TK then there would be a lot of brides that would be getting bad advice (like the ladies on weddingbee)
Edit - Don't know how I missed that this was an old thread...

I realize this is a very old posting but I just came across it.  I am a bride who is getting married in 6 weeks.  I have used theknot as my source for wedding advice and inspiration.  The posts on this board are disgusting.  ALL of you should be ashamed of yourselves and theknot should be ashamed they allow posts like these.  So what if you consider her question to be dumb.  I consider your responses to be rude.  There is a nice way to answer someone.  I felt like I was reading something from Mean Girls, not wedding advice.  I will make sure to spread the word that this is not the site to go to for wedding advice.  You all like like awful people, you should be ashamed of yourselves.
Why would I be ashamed of myself for something from 3 years before I was a member?

May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits!
But didn't you know? We are all guilty by association.  'Cause ya know,  the regs are all the same,  regardless of whether the people change.

Yeah I haven't seen or used it in 25 years but it was the most amusing insult I could come up with 6 weeks before her wedding. My mom used to have these fake parking tickets that she'd give out to folks who were rude and parked too close to her or not in any lines and she'd check off what they did and that was one of the fines... yeah she's like that

    1. Caterers charged based on people who eat...you *are* eating, yes?
    2. Sometimes, yeah, people get bitchy. Deal with it.
    3. I WELCOME advice from people who have already gone through what I am asking advice on...whether it be marriage advice from married people, parenting advice from a parent, or make-up advice from a makeup artist. If the married people weren't here, we would all be really screwed!
