I'm not working tomorrow, and instead of stressing out that no one is coming to our house tomorrow like I was earlier, I am now stressing out because we have about 4 people coming over. It will be fun, but they are all closer to H than to me, and H wont' be home from work until 11, so I'm trying to figure out how much booze to buy to make it not awkward. I might be hammered by 7 pm tomorrow, we'll see.

Im certainly not working tomorrow! I plan to go to the gym and follow it up with a bit of nothing, followed by eating and then lots of boozing!

My husband bought a new SD card for the wii and 2000 wii dollars so Im going to stock up on some beatles songs for tomorrow night.

Im bored as all hell right now though. I WAS looking at jobs but there is nothing local. I found an awesome job but its part time and 20 minutes (by highway, which ive never driven on before cause im lame) so I dont want to apply but I do. I wish it was closer or I could teleport.

I know fishy that's what I keep telling myself. I'm also slowly starting to realize that one of the many reasons I'm drifting from some college friends is that they're all single. I don't think it should be an issue and I miss just going out with them, but I guess that isn't in the stars for NYE. So all of the people coming over tomorrow are couples, oddly enough, and I'm kind of excited   I just freak myself out about what will happen if only one couple comes over and thinks we're lame since no one else is there.

I know I'm being silly and we'll have fun. Maybe I should just start drinking now.

Also, any ideas for really easy and easily reheatable appetizers? I want to have enough, but want to be able to eat leftovers   So far on the list I just have a dip or two and some biscuit cheese things.

The venue is a historic mansion, museum type place.  Very rustic with beautiful grounds.  The only issue is it has a 150 person max so I have to go over guest lists... Anyway here is the link..

I am about to open a bottle of wine.  I am off work tomorrow.  I've been off since last week.  It's nice, but I'm getting cabin fever. 

I am super excited because my awesome friend is squeezing me in on Saturday to get my hair cut and coloured. 

I am bummed about new year's because Mike's working til midnight at least.  So I'll be at home.  Awesome.  I hate going out.  No cabs available.  Line ups are stupid.  And I refuse to pay $50 for a ticket to get into anywhere half decent.

TLV, it's true. I didn't so much feel that disconnect during the marriage years because all of my close friends all got married about the same time, but I feel it now with people who have babies.

I still love them and all, it's just...our lifestyles and interests are different, which is ok. I just need to make time for coffee with them, and go to happy hour with new friends. But I hear what you're saying.

Hahaha tonight in the car I asked my husband if he likes fishdicks, he said yeah kinda, and I asked if he likes to put fishdicks in his mouth and he glared at me because he kind of got it but couldnt figure out what it was from. Then I called him a gay fish and he continued to glare at me.

For some reason thesun going to the planetarium reminded me of that.

Haha...poor tlv.  I feel you.  My "best friend" has flaked on me all year.  Supposed to come from LA for xmas and nye and never showed.  Took me 2 days of calling her to get her to tell me that she wasn't coming.  Some huge crisis/disaster/drama like every other time she flakes on me and is just way too busy to call or text that she can't make it.  At least my house is spotless now! Guess I am keeping her presents for myself.

I'm here.  Sitting next to DH who says he's getting sick.  Really not excited about that. I cannot get sick again and he always gets me sick. 

I do have to work tomorrow   I've been off since the 24th but I have to go in tomorrow.  Hopefully, my boss lets me leave by 2pm like he's supposed to the day before a holiday.
